All firearm manufacturer CEO's need to get in line and follow this guy's lead. By the tone of his letter, and his refusal to bend a knee and show up for Congress when they stamped their feet a few weeks ago, I think he's about at the end of the road putting up with the BS and kowtowing to the garbage in Congress. It's about time.

Great letter. We need more of the same from other CEOs. It's time to stand for what is right.

Watch their sales surge. A lot of gun nuts remember the bad ol' days of the Clinton presidency and the British "regency" over S&W.

Yes, will be adding another M&P compact sooner than later, now.

While this may be great, I still only want a Model 60 without the key lock and they won't make it.

Outstanding!

I would sure like to read the first draft or two of that statement in the ‘brain-storming’ phase where you’re quite passionately and without polite and politically correct restraint getting your thoughts down on paper as it were!

I would guess that there may have been an F-bomb or two in there along with some A-holes and the like!!

Please don't do that. That is not what this letter and thread is about. Let's stay on subject please.

I read that Congress will be "inviting" CEO's of firearm manufacturers to DC. I believe Mr. Smith will be one of the invitees. That will be a session worth watching. Well played, Mr. Smith.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

They have no choice now. They tried to play it nice in the past and where did it get them?

The commies are going to use frivolous lawsuits to bankrupt gunmakers. Lawsuits banned by Congress, but that commie judges let through anyway. Remington was bankrupted (well they sucked too, but...) by lawsuits over the use of a their product by a criminal because the advertising could have appealed to a minor? Never mind no evidence that the minor in question ever actually saw said advertising.

Perhaps S&W has finally come to their senses? First they announced their move to TN. Now their CEO publicly declares that S&W will not bend over for common sense gun control.
