I have a Sprint “Unlimited” mobile phone plan. When I upgraded to that plan my Mobile Hotspot (Phone as Modem) allotment was 15 GB/month. But I just checked my usage (hadn’t done that for awhile), and I see that I now get 50 GB/month. I hadn’t requested that, but I’m happy ‘cuz the monthly fee is unchanged. Pessimists get only pleasant surprises! Right now, I don’t need that much capacity, but I’m planning to get a pair of Apple HomePods (which require Apple Music via Internet), so possibly that capacity will be needed then. Serious about crackers.

Unlimited should mean unlimited, without limits, no caps, to infinity and then some. If the provider can't handle the customer load then they should improve their system. If the provider isn't making enough money, then figure out a different structure. This isn't a complaint against Sprint, it is a complaint against every provider of any service that claims unlimited, but then defines limits. If you can't provide unlimited, don't sell unlimited plans/services. If I buy an unlimited car wash plan and want to do laps through the machine, that should be my ability, not once per day. Wanna go to an all you can eat buffet, nah, there's a time limit there too. You can have full throttle Internet until you hit X and so on and so forth. Unfortunately there typically isn't an alternative so the vendor gets to set the rules damn the customers. Sorry, guess this was a "Sunday meltdown."

I’m glad of that 50 GB/month limit. It’s a good bit more than I currently need. If there was no limit, some folks would be downloading hundreds of GB/month. My service would be impaired. Or Sprint would have to add tons infrastructure and raise service fees to cover the cost. Serious about crackers.

I never felt treated fairly in my bills by Sprint. I was a independant driver, signed onto Ryder and was issued a way cool dumb phone for company use. I liked the walkie talkie so much, I bought one for private use. They tried billing me for out of state use. Same thing 15 years later with a smart phone. Any how, I heard WalMart and Straight Talk are offering a new unlimited phone plan which I may check out.

They also gave you 1080p video streaming all the time now and don't cut it back after so many gigs. Though they did have a $5 a line increase about 2 or 3 months ago, so not quite free. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!
