I'd call that Cover Yo Ass times 1000. If Mayor Gillum lost the gubernatorial election by less than 1%, But Mayor Pete was unelectable because the "black voting block" wouldn t vote for a gay man, How does.that make.sense? ____________________

I am assuming that his homosexuality was hidden from the public until now. His corruption was on display, but with a wife(and maybe kids?) he had a nice false front for the general population. .

Well, technically he did show up after Gillum and the gay prostitute were already there. OTOH, he showed up for a "date" with the gay prostitute and had given the gay prostitute his credit card number so the gay prostitute could rent the hotel room.

Is that a real detail? The more that comes out about this, the more disgusting it gets. .

Lesson here is NEVER trust a democrat. As Rush always says they can never tell you who they are or what they really think because if they did no one would vote for them.

Gillum is lucky though. There is literally not a better week for this story to come out. If you're a politician with a scandal, you should be working with your PR team to get it out there now. ![]()

Body-cam footage of Andrew Gillum’s hotel bust with male escort likely to be released, says OwensAs more sordid details emerge from the apparent crystal meth overdose incident that involved Andrew Gillum, it’s a little more understandable why the 2018 Democratic nominee for Florida governor said he “will spend the next few weeks with my family and appreciate privacy during this time.” The story broke Friday by Candace Owens, the founder of #Blexit, a campaign urging black voters to leave the Democratic Party, and she came back with a tweet on Saturday saying police were wearing body cams when called to a Miami Beach hotel room where a male escort appeared to be overdosing. The police report said that “officers observed in plain sight three small clear plastic baggies containing suspected crystal meth on both the bed and floor,” adding Gillum “was unable to communicate with officers due to his inebriated state.” The former Tallahassee, Fla., mayor released a statement saying he was in Miami to attend a wedding and had too much to drink. In the initial bombshell Owens dropped Friday on Twitter, she said: “Orgy suspected, but unconfirmed.” Owens went further in the tweet about police wearing body cams. “My source says Andrew was NOT fully naked but his ‘friend’ (gay male escort from “Rent Men” website) was. Sex was suspected b/t the two bc there was blood & feces on the bed.” she tweeted. “Yes — police were wearing body cams so this footage will come out,” she added. UPDATE to @AndrewGillum story: My source says Andrew was NOT fully naked but his “friend” (gay male escort from “Rent Men” website) was. Sex was suspected b/t the two bc there was blood & feces on the bed. Yes— police were wearing body cams so this footage will come out. — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 14, 2020 Gillum wasn’t arrested and police were reportedly not pursuing criminal charges. It was also said that the Democrat returned home after being released by police. But Owens offered clarity here, as well. “Lastly — many reporters are inaccurately reporting that Andrew returned to his own home, down the road, by himself. This is wrong. Police officers escorted [him] home,” she said in a follow-up tweet while challenging the media to prove her wrong. Lastly— many reporters are inaccurately reporting that Andrew returned to his own home, down the road, by himself. This is wrong. Police officers escorted his home. Waiting for any journalist to call my bluff by requesting the body cam footage. — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 14, 2020 Gillum married wife R. Jai Gillum in 2009, and they have three children together. The gay escort in the room, Travis Dyson, who Gillum said was a friend, contradicted the statement made by the politician, saying he was not a friend and that Gillum said nothing about a wedding. Dyson goes by the name Brodie Scott on the website RentMen.com. Unfortunately for @AndrewGillum, his “friend” Travis Dyson, has come forth to reveal that he is no friend, but an open male escort. He also claims that he has never heard of the wedding of which Andrew Gillum speaks of. Gillum needs a new alibi. https://t.co/Gck8nklI27 — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 13, 2020 The media response to the story included this take from Politico’s Marc Caputo, who is from South Florida. 3: Report: “officers observed in plain sight three small clear plastic baggies containing suspected crystal meth on both the bed and floor of the hotel room.” The hotel room was rented by the other man, so if there were drugs, it’s legally hard to charge Gillum w/it — Marc Caputo (@MarcACaputo) March 13, 2020 Another interesting aspect here is a wave of sympathy being expressed for Gillum. “My initial reaction was disappointment in him, and then I thought about his family and how that would affect his wife and three little children,” said Curtis Richardson, a Tallahassee city commissioner, according to Microsoft News. Barbara DeVane, an activist and lobbyist for the Florida National Organization for Women, went even further, saying that she loves Gillum “for what he stands for and what he’s done in his young life and what he will still do in the future.” “There is such a thing as privacy with people, for people to have a private life,” she said. “He wasn’t putting anyone’s life in harm’s way. He was in a private hotel room.” Noted Tallahassee attorney Chuck Hobbs was quoted as saying that Gillum didn’t do anything illegal and still has a “bright” future. After all, he’s a Democrat. “History has shown many politicians have bounced back from bad acts they actually did commit,” Hobbs said. “I would have a hard time believing that Gillum’s future isn’t still bright considering he has done nothing criminal.” https://www.bizpacreview.com/2...ponse&utm_term=EMAIL _________________________

https://www.politico.com/state...rug-overdose-1267145 Andrew Gillum said he would withdraw from public life, closing a chapter in his career that took him from the peak of Florida power to a Miami Beach hotel room where he was found inebriated with a man suspected of overdosing on crystal meth. “This has been a wake-up call for me,” the former Tallahassee mayor said in a written statement Sunday. “Since my race for governor ended, I fell into a depression that has led to alcohol abuse. I witnessed my father suffer from alcoholism and I know the damaging effects it can have when untreated. I also know that alcoholism is often a symptom of deeper struggles.“ "I will be stepping down from all public facing roles for the foreseeable future,” he wrote. Gillum said he would enter a rehabilitation facility. He apologized and asked for privacy. The one-time gubernatorial candidate will give up the reins of Forward Florida, a political committee he founded to register and motivate voters to defeat President Donald Trump in the battleground state. He also is stepping back from CNN, where he was paid commentator, a gig that made him a familiar face in the living rooms of voters. Gillum’s friends say he’s been withdrawn from them, too, as he grapples with the destruction of his career and the challenge to his marriage. Democrats said they were pained to see the loss of a dynamic leader who could rouse white progressives and black church-goers alike with his soaring rhetoric. “He spoke to the issues better than anyone we’ve had,” said Susan Smith, former president of the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida. “The way he spoke and the knowledge he had about working people and the most vulnerable will be sorely missed." Gillum lost to Gov. Ron DeSantis by less than a half percentage point in the 2018 gubernatorial race, but quickly became a national figure He was determined to play a key role in the 2020 elections, setting up a political committee and nonprofit organization to help register or “re-engage” a million Democratic-leaning voters in the battleground state. As of the end of February, Gillum’s committee had close to $2 million still unspent. After Gillum lost the gubernatorial race by a nose, some Democrats were furious to learn that he still had nearly $3 million in unspent campaign funds. Florida trial attorney and political donor John Morgan, who backed a successful initiative to legalize medical marijuana that year, picked a public feud with Gillum, accusing him of mismanaging his campaign. “I don’t live on your plantation,” said Gillum, who is black, in response to Morgan’s criticism. On Friday, after word spread of Gillum’s encounter with police, Morgan said he “took no joy” in the news. “At moments like this I prefer mercy. My prayers are @AndrewGillum & his family. And yes it’s time the money’s returned,” Morgan said.
