Bet you $10,000 this guy had a bunch of pro trans troops DEI type nonsense on his social media the past few years as he tried to kiss the Biden Admin ass and now the pendulum has swung sharply he’s trying to save his own rear end:

Maybe I've been …

… but why is (or was) a guy in such a position on social media in the first place?

I guess I don't see where this is a big deal. The reasoning he provides for doing this seems logical to me. I don't think it's appropriate to question this man's character or motives based on something like this.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.

Appears the Army is working on the messaging and controls for Social media and Influencers in the military.

From the Article:

The announcement comes amid a broader social media strategy shift within the Army, including the service standing up a new “Creative Reserve” of its own soldiers. The goal of the initiative is “to better tell the Army story because they’re reaching into these markets we [big Army] can’t pay to reach,” according to Kris Saling, who is leading the effort. The idea was born out of the Army Recruiting Command’s innovation directorate which is experimenting with a variety of novel ways to reach potential recruits.

When it comes to quality of life, Task & Purpose previously reported on the Army’s struggle to curtail social media posts from those in the ranks — soldiers who often feel their only recourse to get an issue addressed is to post about it online.

Saling said they are still figuring out what the parameters look like for Army influencer content that is certified by the service “but we wanna be able to push topics out for folks to discuss if they’re willing” and “to provide a means” via their Army audience or “whoever it is picking up on the various platforms to actively do something about it.”

Meh, some personal family members who are or were .mil went dark on social media. The main reason is misrepresentation / photoshop / AI creation of false events / etc.

Some article from some unheard of (by me) website has the explanation why his pages are going dark, but you somehow came up with ridiculously unproven accusations. Got proof? Show it. Until then...

That may have been the official explanation given but as someone who works for a large defense contractor I see all the fear and loathing going on right now and just call it as I see it.

Everyone is running scared right now in the DOD, saw another article about some huge yearly military symposium that’s usually attended by the top brass in the thousands and basically no one showed up this year because I think everyone is afraid of appearing to be wasting money right now.

Working for a large defense contractor means you know all the reasons for the "fear and loathing"? And, I don't even know how "everyone...afraid of appearing to be wasting money" has anything to do with the specific things you are accusing, without proof, this man of. Very strange. Confused

Nearly an entire career spent in Special Forces and Delta, I doubt there's much DEI non-sense there and has more to do with turning-it-off and not having to respond to the DoD brand-manager/marketing-types that have encouraged executives and corporate leaders to be more visible on social media. We've seen the DoD infected with corporate business garbage and cultural touchpoints for nearly two decades now, and I think that Weimer got the green light to turn-it-off.

Before I say I'll take it, how much time are you thinking you need to prove it? A week, two weeks, a month...?
