A couple were driving through a small town with a shitload of traffic lights. They noticed that the towns name was spelled Winder.

After the 27th red light, they were arguing if it was called WInder as in a clock spring, or WINDer as in shut the winder, its cold outside.

The argument ensued as a train went through town. They pulled up to get some food at the burger joint and asked the lady serving them.

'Hey! How the hell do you pronounce the name of this damn place?' She flipped them off and said slowly 'D-A-I-R-Y Q-U-E-E-N' !

Also, there's LaFAYette, TN.

We can always tell when a new meteorologist comes to town. First weather report, they use the French pronunciation.

I grew up just south of there. We called it OOTTE-wah. It used to be “out in the country”. Not so much now.

Pecans are edible and grow on trees.
