I guess my wife was tired of me complaining about bourbon
Buffalo Trace is one of my favorite reasonably priced bourbons but it’s been hard to find for the last couple of years since it’s so popular. I guess I complained enough about it and she might have been tired of me telling stories about how easy it was to get ten years ago before it got so popular.
We have a new hookup so she loaded me up. I didn’t even know there was a premixed Old Fashioned using Buffalo Trace. Very nice way to kick off Father’s Day.
Cheers to all.

Bourbon newbie here, BT has become my “Utility Bourbon”. Reasonable price and not quite as rare in these parts as some others evidently.
To be safe though I did stock up when it and Four Roses were on sale at Safeway a while back.
Costco had the BT OF premix, only got one bottle of that, haven’t seen it anywhere since so I’m going slow on it.

Likewise, this requires a range report!

I don’t drink but Buffalo Trace is my favorite distillery. They all are cool in their own right but Buffalo Trace is my favorite.

Scotch guy here and know nothing about bourbon. How does Makers Mark stack up. I like a bourbon on the rock occasionally just to shake things up. Plus, I need a bottle around because that's a third of my steak marinade recipe.

I Got a bottle of Buffalo Trace this last year and tried it. Definitely warmer and smoother than others ive tried. Usually my fac is still Maker’s but BT is damn good. I went back the next day and got another (It was one-per day in Utah).

Nice score she did very well.
I scored a bottle of Weller yesterday and my wife picked out a Japanese Whisky. My wife likes Bourbon, Scotch and Irish Whisky oh and craft beer along with guns. She texts me when ever someone post locally on Facebook when ever the local liquor stores have hard to get Bourbon. I have gotten lucky the last few weeks getting allocated bourbons.

I didn’t know Buffalo Trace was so well liked. I am a beer guy and don’t really drink bourbon, but my friend since childhood likes Buffalo Trace as well. I’ll have to check it out.

BT on the rocks is my daily drink. Good enough to stand on its own, and I can get it for well under $20 at sams club.

My friend in Germany sent me these pics. Must not sell well there:
Then about two weeks later it was discounted even more:

I was just at the distillery yesterday. Used to be we didn't sell the good whiskey to Yankees. There were so many lined up for the tour you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a dozen of them!

I haven't seen BT in about 3 years, Eagle Rare in 5 or 6. On delivery days there are lines out the door people trying to get it or other brands. Screw that. I would like to try a shot of Pappys some day.

The tours are really well done.
IMO, the lines are a reflection on just how popular BT products have become.
The hunt is a lot of the fun.
I can name the location of my first taste of BT, my first score of Eagle Rare, Blanton's and EH Taylor Small Batch.
IMO, there are a lot of excellent Bourbons out there and BT offers a lot of them.
