Seems the China Coast Guard Cutter 3104 collided with PLAN destroyer Guilin.

3104 was being very aggressive hassling the Philippine fishing fleet and when it rammed Guilin.

Too bad both GDC vessels didn't sink. The Chinese Coast Guard boat coulda been an ice cutter.

Bet the Phillipinos deleted the sound track from those videos because laughing their asses off.

The Netherlands remotely shut down China's chip manufacturing photolithography equipment as a warning not to harass ANY of their vessels ever again.

I gotta say the Dutch are a surprisingly quiet powerhouse. Maybe being the first real global power has something to do with it.

I wonder how much worse the consequences will be for the on-scene commanders in the Chinese navy than what happened to the USN commanders in our mishaps?

Kinda crazy that the Philippine ship seems to be outrunning that destroyer, and the destroyer kept hassling it even after the collision...didn't even break off to render aid to the damaged Coast Guard Cutter.

Some good maneuvering by the Philippine Coasties!

Not sure what the hell PLAN 164 was doing as he cut right across 3104's bow unless they were expecting them to give-to and maintain a port-side position against the Philippine ship. Either way, both ships are gonna have to head back to the yard, 3104 had to shut themselves down ASAP, looks like she was taking on water in a major way.

So, to clear up the confusion, the Chinese cutter got rammed/struck by the Chinese destroyer. So (un)friendly fire I guess.

^^Yes, you are correct. Mostly I wanted to point out the Philippine Navy didn't ram or get hit in this video. It's Chinese on Chinese action here.

I initially misread who was who. My bad. The skipper of the Chinese destroyer is/was/soon to be unalived and wildly incompetent. He appeared to be either ramming the Philippines ship or his own cutter. Either way how did they not see that developing as it did. Horrible ship handling.

PLA Navy means Chinese. They don’t have a Navy, they have the “People’s Liberation Army Navy” (similar how it was the US Army Air Force for a while).

The title and video are accurate.

I know, but some misread this/didn't catch that fact and I wanted to clarify without calling out names.
