No idea. I have been trying to figure that out for quite some time.

It seems that I'm not the only one here with that problem. ersatzknarf is dealing with it, too: 私のホバークラフトは鰻でいっぱいです!

My waze couldn't get a signal the other day but has been working fine yesterday and today.

I can't remember the exact issue or even what car, it was either my '09 bmw or my '15 subaru, but if i hooked my phone up via cable, i lost gps signal.

I didn't have carplay though in either of those cars. It was just hooking the phone up to the car's usb port disabled gps. using a cigarette plug charger fixed the problem.

A few hours ago I took my daughter's 2020 Subaru for gas and it uses wired carplay and waze worked fine. After that I took my 2019 bmw to get gas and it has wireless carplay and waze worked fine.

yes, i turn waze on whenever i leave the house, not for mapping but for people reporting where the cops are. Smile

Also, are you using a manufacturer cable or an aftermarket?

It's an aftermarket cable. Interesting thought. I could try the cable it came with.

Damned expensive shielded cable though...

It sounds like that only change you made was the cable connecting it to your vehicle. You might want to try a different one and see if that makes a difference.

I just made a 500 mile trip through Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and New Orleans with Waze running with my CarPlay. No problems other than fewer people appear to be using the app.

I think you are having a network lag issue.
You can update the PRL on the phone, this often happens when you get a new phone.
The phone is provisioned for like where it imported in California and for their network not your local neighborhood.

Also, if it is sprint/tmobile you may need to bring it in for what they call a T-NEXT, this is some network settings that require a new network card, had to do this on 4 phones.

There may be less people using it since Google bought it and incorporated into their maps app and people are just using Maps instead.

Used Waze this morning without issue. But I have had issues in the past.

What I typically do is delete the app., restart the phone, re-install he app and then sign back in.
