My next door neighbors have a large nativity scene in their front yard every year. One year I recognized the star they have hanging above as a Moravian Star (I learned about this 26 point star when I spent some time in Winston-Salem NC, where there is a large Moravian community). I asked them if they knew it was a Moravian Star, and they replied that the Bible describes the Star of Bethlehem as just that (I'm not very religious or bible-read, so I cannot comment on that). I took my telescope to the mountain overlook near me and it was amazing. Saturn's rings were perfectly rotated so you could see them! Jupiter's Galilean moons were all bright and visible!
