I like a Dark Roast Coffee with NuNaturals Cocoa Syrup added - Zero Calories..
I really like the Godiva Chocolatier Hot Cocoa - but Zero Calories isn't an option.

xantomWe use Nestle Hot Cocoa Rich Milk Chocolate Flavor mix. I have it maybe once a month or so. My order of preference is coffee then milk, if water is the only option I probably wouldn't drink it.
I had some fresh whip cream left from last night.

flashguyI ordered some Cadbury's mix and it came yesterday. I just mixed some in hot water. It's not bad, a little bitter, but it doesn't clump up and is smooth. FWIW, there are NO instructions on the container of how much to use, just to mix it with hot milk (no amounts). I used 3 good teaspoons in a large mug of hot water (just over a cup). I think I'll stick with Swiss Miss.

bald1Not a huge hot chocolate drinker but like it on occasion. Previously posted that I liked Cafe Britt which requires milk and can be finnicky about the mix ratio.
Decided one of these with milk solids already in the mix was worth checking out. Found a canister of Land O Lakes Salt Carmel Cocoa mix and ordered it. Arrived today so I made myself a cup. Nice! Smooth rich and tasty. Gonna have to try their more mainstream flavors.

signewtBah! Humbug!! to the marshmellows.
As a diabetic striving to maintain A1c level within spec, even the dreaded sugar content has to be suspect.
So far, Swiss Miss low sugar version is passable. Barely.
I'd like to try the special A Brown recipe listed above, but experience with anything starting with "2 cups sugar" simply doesn't work for me.

Could you substitute stevia or another sweetener in place of the sugar?

I have not tried this yet (the crystals), but look into monk fruit extract in place of sugar. I use the liquid pure monk fruit
extract - Lakanto brand in my iced tea and coffee. Can't tell the difference from sugar. I also bought some of the monk fruit crystals if I wanted to go that way, but have not tried them yet. The
raw sugar crystals are a 1 for 1 sugar replacement. I buy these on Amazon for the best prices.
Also looking at their company website, they have a
chocolate drink, and I have not tried this, so. But I love hot chocolate, so will buy some and give it a try. The biggest thing about this brand is the ingredients, or the lack of. They make it as natural as possible without chemicals and added sugar substitutes that can be as bad as mainlining raw sugar.
Dr. gave me the "stink eye" regarding my labs, So I made it my mission to get the numbers knocked down back in normal range. So far success, have dropped A1C almost 3 points back into normal over 8 months. Dropped 50lbs in that time as well. I complain, but it was not as bad as I can make sound.

Yes, familiar with and use stevia in many foods.
Some I don't care for the altered taste due to the temperature of cooking/preparing with the stevia. Other items seem fine.
I've encountered many 'hot chocolate' products that already have their daily inclusion of sucrose.
I'll be looking into Monk Fruit, thanks for posting.

bald1I've become a convert. Land O Lakes for the WIN!
Made for a nice after dinner "dessert" especially with the single digit temperatures we're experiencing.
