bendableyour state and all these lotteries
Auggie and Lyda are 68 years old,
One has been on state assistance for 6 years and the other has been on state assistance for eight years,
totals for both are right at$364,000.00
Now they win a lottery of 2 million dollars,
Question:
Does your state dip in too their lottery winnings as repayment?
or do they just disqualify them from being on state aid?
or both?

dsietsOur MI Gov. signed a law
quote:
requiring the lottery to notify the Human Services Department when someone wins at least $1,000.

RogueJSKNo repayment. But they would no longer qualify for state assistance.

PHPaulDon't know but pretty sure they'd recoup their expenses, which IMHO is only fair.
I do know they'll run through every. single. one. of my assets if I or my wife wind up in state-funded care.
