Auggie and Lyda are 68 years old, One has been on state assistance for 6 years and the other has been on state assistance for eight years, totals for both are right at$364,000.00 Now they win a lottery of 2 million dollars, Question: Does your state dip in too their lottery winnings as repayment? or do they just disqualify them from being on state aid? or both? No repayment. But they would no longer qualify for state assistance.

Thankfully, Utah doesn't allow the sale of lottery tickets.

Don't know but pretty sure they'd recoup their expenses, which IMHO is only fair. I do know they'll run through every. single. one. of my assets if I or my wife wind up in state-funded care. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
