You can also watch it on YT at your leisure. My favorite part is at 43:26. The FBI spokesman knows they f'ed up, and there's no sugarcoating it. "Unfortunately, Vicki is dead."

It seems to me, that a great number of American people are like the eastern diamondback rattlesnake, "Feared as deadly and aggressive, diamondbacks are actually highly averse to human contact and only attack in defense."

So, if one leaves them the fuck alone, they will neither seek to trouble anyone, nor cause any trouble.

But if anyone chooses to press in and fuck around, well, the bite is on your tab.

I might rattle, I might not.

I just want to lay in the warmth of the sun.

If you come near me, I will retreat.
If you pursue me, I will warn you.
If you lay hand on me, I will strike with all I have.

Too bad I didn't embed that in my first post, big as life, huh?

Gentlemen, once again, I am telling you to read a thread before posting to it. At least read the last page or two of a thread.

iron chef, this was a one page thread when you posted to it, and the embed you provided was at the top of that page.

Please. Come on. Read before posting.

Janet Reno didn't take over as AG until a few weeks into the Waco debacle. The AG during the build up and kickoff of the Waco operation was William Barr, who was also the AG during Ruby Ridge.

Reno took office on March 12, 1993. The initial ATF raid on the Branch Davidian compound took place on February 28, 1993, almost 2 weeks before Reno became AG. Ruby Ridge took place the year before, in August 1992.

Yup, remember that era well - Berlin Wall had fell, everyone is strutting around after Desert Storm, the Soviets are reeling and their client states are breaking away, economy with the dot.com boom is spiraling upwards and Clinton is elected president.

Then, the curtains gets pulled back and its revealed that the highly-ranked decision makers aren't so good at their jobs - Somebody looking to make a name for themselves deems Randy Weaver a threat to domestic law n'order resulting in innocents being killed in their own home; a religious cult leader in Texas that should've been arrested away from his compound is instead laid siege and turns into a national conflagration; a couple of crazies motivated by the above blowout the front of a federal building in Oklahoma City killing & injuring 700+ people.

Meanwhile, on the global scene national intelligence is unable to forsee the breakup of Yugoslavia and even worse old scores and grievances are bubbling back up, the Philippines decides to kick the US military out of its bases after a catastrophic volcanic eruption and a famine and police action in Somalia organized by the UN descends into chaos and a case study in poor planning by elite US military units is on full display.

The 1990's became the era American's became highly cynical of its government.

Yes sir. That's when I began to realize we are in an abusive relationship with our own government.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

but the Waco assault / fires / deaths occurred on April 19, 1993. Clearly Reno had a role in the Waco deaths and holds much of the responsibility.

There were two raids in Waco - the initial one and then the final one. Reno made the decision on the final one. That one is squarely on her.

I met Mr. Weaver at a gun show. He seemed very normal and I can't believe he experienced such emotional and physical trauma, at the hands of our government. It was a time of great unrest in America.

Want to really puke ? Find the Diane Feinstein grilling of the daughter at the senate hearings after the fact. She held her own for a teen Vs that witch.

The kid was there and saw her moms shot in the head and had to live in that house with her dead mom for a few days. Then the feds would get on a loudspeaker and say all kinds of stuff directed at the Vickie. Claiming they didn’t know she was dead. Entire episode was a cluster.

Local Prosecutor in Idaho filed charges Vs Horiuchi but somehow he got out of it.
