I read on OAN that Derek Carr was injured when his defensive line didn’t block for him. He stood for the National Anthem and the rest of the team kneeled. Guess that was payback for not kneeling.some great team. Hope Chiefs win tonight.

From archerman's post above,

"Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett told reporters on Wednesday. “I think the first step to even being able to even have a conversation is to make sure that Colin Kaepernick gets an opportunity to play in the NFL. I think before we even negotiate anything about whether we sit or whether we stand, should be a negotiation about opening up the doors for Colin Kaepernick and give him an opportunity again, because I feel like through everything that’s been lost, I think all of us are having opportunities to be able to speak to our employers, but to think about the guy who started everything not to be able to have a voice at this moment, it just doesn’t seem very right to me.”"

If the NFL owners agreed to that, it would be powerful ammunition for Kaepernick's lawsuit claiming there has been NFL collusion not to hire him.

and the statement is an acknowledgement of the complete capitulation of the NFL. They are "negotiating" about standing for the anthem.

If there was payback, that brings this disgrace to another level. With career ending injuries possibly in the balance, such a collusion resembles prison yard behavior.

I can't link it, but I encourage everyone to watch David Goggins and Marcus Luttrel's spot on Fox today. It's on their site if you search by name. These are two great men, great Americans. David nails this issue.

He thinks we are negotiating? He chose to kneel, I chose to turn off the NFL.

I'm just fine, I don't even miss football anymore. If he's negotiating, it's not with people like me. He's talking to himself.

I find it interesting that the players in the NFL are taking an "us versus them" approach. It boils down to these things:

* They need the viewers, and the viewers don't need them.

* The viewers find it disgusting that the players totally lack any gratitude whatsoever for the privilege of living in the greatest country in the world. If these guys lived anywhere else, they'd be lucky to have jobs as laborers making a tiny fraction of what they'e making here.

* Most people don't buy the B.S. that "LEOs mistreat Black persons because they're Black." We see the myriad of videos wherein Black people refuse to cooperate with LEOs - YouTube is absolutely repleat with officer's dash cams and lapel cams showing Black people refusing to cooperate or even LISTEN to the police officer in any given situation.

For the last 2 or 3 decades the "school" system in our country has been indoctrinating the students to disparage this country. Now we're seeing the fruits of those anti-America teachers.

rather telling that when the topic is

"Please stand for the national anthem",

their response is

"here is our demand list to do that"

And why wouldn't it given the criminal filth employed by the NFL team owners.

I'm not interested in seeing any football game, not even grade school kids. College players hope to end up in the NFL, so I make no distinction between college and pro football. To Hell with all of it.

I've always considered college sports as training camps for the Pro's. I'd like to see them get rid of all the athletic scholarships. IMO, they are paying them to play by giving them free college.
