Glad it worked out for you. Had a similar event with a logging truck last week. Two lane road,He came over from the left lane and forced me half off the road before he realized and immediately move back over. My AWD paid dividends maintaining my traction. I believe he realized his mistake when we came to the next light as he stopped about an eighth of a mile back behind me, cooler heads prevailed :-)

Props to you for moving over for them to merge even though you didn't have to. Even more props for being ready for what you suspected was to come and avoiding it. I am glad you avoided an obliviot.

It's funny, because after rewatching the video, I perceived the threat when he was halfway into the second lane. His rate of lane change caught my attention.
At this point, I looked at the yellow line in relation to my hood and I see that I began to anticipate the collision and started swerving left to avoid. As soon as his tire crosses into my lane I'm slamming on the brakes.
By the time the trailer is half way into the lane, half of my truck is still in my lane.
Three lane highway. Left lane for passing, middle lane empty, right lane empty. No need for anybody to be in the left lane, especially those just coming off the on ramp.
Pretty sure what happened, he was only using his mirrors and when you moved over for him you moved into his blind spot. If he had turned his head and checked like he should, he would have seen you.
I hate I-4, I used to take our trainees from Winter Haven up to one of our Orlando terminals after we were ready to cut them loose on their final training day.

Absolutely! And towing just entering the highway. Bad move!

Moved over a lane even though the turd already had a free lane to merge into.
Had already checked the shoulder was clear AND moved there to prevent an accident. Can't believe 2 open lanes wasn't good enough for the impatient turd.

Not trying to defend the jerk who was over-merging, but it looks like you may have been in his blind spot (extended by the trailer), and he simply didn't see you. OTOH, maybe he just didn't bother to look. Good on you for not exacerbating the problem.

Looking back, he even had the blind spot indicator that was lit until I got behind him! Once he was ahead, you can see the blind spot light in his rear view go off!
