91% of people in the USA have smart phones. 98% of people in the USA have a cell phone. Any time the phone is on it is being tracked. Even if only WiFi is on it is being tracked. I have been saying for decades there is no Privacy as long as you have either a cellphone or computer.

I listened to a radio show yesterday, for 40 minutes, about These data centers and there effects and abilities. What an effen nightmare. Had to shut it off . Felt like I could visualize Satan . Remember the push to EV vehicles during the Biden Fiasco. Car makers flushed 60 Billion or a bit more down the sewer for the imagined "Energy savings". These Data centers have pretty much eliminated ANY energy savings. I can't remember the year but somewhere around 2000 a news report I saw stated the US was using Less energy at that time than in 1970 when the first Earth Day was held. Of course this did take place when people were driving Cars that had fairly good fuel economy. Now everybody want the biggest Truck they can get and insists on moving at a slow walk every time they have to make a turn. This is NOT the case today. The world is using more energy today than at any other time in History. I find it VERY interesting that the Save the Planet folks are NOT making even a tiny peep about these Data Centers. Per Google a large Data Center consumes enough energy to power 15,000-80,000 homes. Planned Gigawatt centers now being designed can consume the entire output of a large Nuclear Generating facility or near 1 million homes. And all this is happening so that out Government will know how many times a day we brush our teeth or use the toilet. Forget about Privacy because the NSA and other Agencies know what groceries you buy and every single item you purchase over the Net. BTW they also know about every post you put on the Net and I expect that Faceplant, the X files, and every other social media is monitored 24/7 with AI highlighting every questionable post. Hopefully this post won't send the MIB to check up on me. I've stopped counting.

Elon Musk's xAI is building a data center in Southaven, Mississippi. That one Data Center alone will use more electricity than all other customers on Entergy Mississippi combined. Entergy is the largest electricity provider in the state. "Data centers in Mississippi, particularly major projects like Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Madison County and developments in Rankin and Lauderdale counties, often operate under high confidentiality, making specific electricity rates paid by these companies difficult to pinpoint. These agreements are frequently shielded by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and state government secrecy." This is crony capitalism and corruption at its finest. It’s already built. The methane turbines have pissed off local residents royally. I think more people need to get off the fucking phone. Just use a tablet/laptop/PC at home and cut out all the demand. It’s not like someone is curing cancer surfing social medias on their phone. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Remember the good old days when we took some comfort in the fact that a future ATF would have to go out and look through every FFL's bound books to compile a registry? A task too enormous to worry about. If they get the books now, it would be child's play.

“A sleepy Midwestern town has become one of the fiercest battlegrounds in America's growing backlash against AI data centers - and voters are making their anger clear at the ballot box. In the town of Festus, Missouri, a community of 14,000 people near St. Louis, residents have ousted four city council members who backed plans for a massive AI data center, replacing them with candidates who openly opposed the project. The political upheaval didn't stop there. At a packed City Hall meeting following the election, newly sworn-in officials were greeted with cheers - while the city's mayor Sam Richards, who still supports the development, was met with boos and jeers from the crowd. 'You're next!' one resident shouted, underscoring how heated the fight has become. At the center of the dispute is a proposed $6 billion data center spanning roughly 360 acres, designed to support the growing demands of artificial intelligence. …” https://mol.im/a/15775807 Serious about crackers.

And they will use it. I cannot drive around town without the flock cameras recording my every move. I got rid of my IPhone since I was tired of having convos and then seeing ads pop up about things I was talking about. Smart tv’s listen in, phones and tablets listen to every convo. People are dumb enough to pay for devices that listen to everything (Alexa and other devices like that). There is no longer privacy even if we want it.

The water problem is easy to solve. Just use closed loop systems. Virtually no water loss. The power problem is largely unsolvable short of massive infrastructure improvements.
Yep. It's not data storage or access. That can be handled with cheap, low-energy tape storage sites. The point is AI processing of stored data and of the personal data they scoop up every day. The primary objective seems to be the development of a total surveillance state. You see this in the push for CBDCs and going cashless (control buying and selling), digital IDs (control/monitor online communication), and now the car kill-switches (control physical mobility). A surveillance state isn't possible with only data collection. The data has to be processed and reported to controllers. That's the bottleneck that AI is supposed to fix. Eventually, it would likely replace controllers all together and make punitive decisions autonomously.
Massive amounts of data without a sorting/indexing means is equivalent to a mile high haystack with a few needles in it. The point of data processing sites is to provide that sorting/indexing means so that data can become a mechanism of control.
The data center push has proven the whole green agenda was nothing but a system of total control. As soon as AI was perceived as possible, every green notion got burned on the altar of total control.
One of many minor concerns. The greater, and much more likely concerns are them simply turning off your money, adjusting the purchasing power of your money, shutting down your vehicle or geo-locking you so you cannot purchase anything outside your assigned region, blocking purchases (like meat and gasoline) they don't want you to make, or - failing to control you that way - locating you with the surveillance system and taking you out with an FPV drone. AI combined with drones makes guns obsolete from a resistance of state power standpoint. Thank you President Trump.

Festus, Missouri is near here and people are very upset about this. Shouldn't people have a say in what happens in their communities? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I have no doubt that there are those working to implement a vision of utopia, with them at the top of course, where they do control us as you describe. Which makes a gun registry or other identification of freedom loving gun owners more than a minor concern. Power indeed comes from the barrel of a gun. As long as citizens are armed we can overturn a tyranny that tries to prevent us buying gas or traveling, etc. A vibrant underground would arise.

A similar outcry is happening in Utah over a proposed AI center on the shore of the Great Salt Lake. The lake has been greatly receding for 30 years from overuse of water. There are serious health and environmental issues already. Using millions of gallons from the lake for cooling is catastrophic, even if the water is returned to the lake because it will warm the lake. The Governor is having to backpedal his support, at least to the public. Our legislature has a terrible record of supporting every unpopular project if it enriches developers. This will get interesting.

Domestically, I see drones as more a surveillance tool for the Government. Sure, they could take you out with one - but the Government still has a significant arsenal of weapons they could use on Joe Civilian.

That wasn't an 'iPhone/iOS problem', that was an app problem! Basically all apps are spyware, especially Amazon, facebook, Google, and the like. Whatever apple tells you regarding their security comes with a big asterisk * beside it. You cannot trust anything they say. For years, Apple has had contractors listening in real time to conversations. They ended up paying a settlement of something like 20 bucks per device to eavesdrop on 1% of users for years. That's a lot of people. Who are these contractors? Once again, just imagine the security concerns.
