I'm guessing this was a pistol? Was it his?
Not sure why the 20 year old is emphasized?
Can 20 year olds not own handguns in Florida??
You have to be 21 to own a hand gun in Florida, 18 for a long gun!

nhracecraft^^^Those are the min. age requirements to purchase firearms in FL. Possession of a handgun by a 20 YO does not appear to be unlawful, however we're talking about a non-resident here, so how he came to possess (own?) this handgun remains to be seen.

The 20 YO was from GA where you can purchase a handgun at 18, which he would not have been able to do if from FL. It's been covered already as I missed it initially, which is why I asked the question, oops... He probably just purchased it legally in GA, hence no charges on that front.
That said, you have to be 21 to purchase or CC a pistol in FL.
