Hey all I’m trying to find available 9mm ammo. I’d love to find some Hornady but any quality self defense ammo would be great. Any suggestions?

You have been a member for 15 years and you must have been thru multiple gun/ammo panics, so I think you know the answer.

Time to fall back on other calibers for the time being. 12 gauge, .223, .38 Special, .45ACP, etc. Stock up on 9mm when the panic blows over, which might be awhile.

What Rob says.
On a slightly different note, I live in California and I'm hearing all these stories of first time gun buyers, probably liberals, wanting to buy guns and ammo and wanting them now. Apparently, they don't know that we have a 10 day waiting period before you can pick up your gun. Razz Roll Eyes

This is a great time to be neighborly.

This is our chance to reach out and meet folks who started the month of March leaning anti-gun, skeptical of keeping too much ammo, suspicious of 'high-capacity magazines', anti-hunting, etc, etc.

We can share a little meat and a little ammo Wink

It will go a long way to building relationships and trust.

First off the Sigforum is awesome. I was actually able to find some locally today in a small place the next town over.

Thanks to everyone who emailed offering to send me ammo.

It is comedy and tragedy all at once.
One of my dealers, while relishing the business boom as it's nearly cleared out his inventory, he's instructed his staff to be patient, talk about responsibility and drilling the Big-4 rules. Waay too many first-timers during this surge in business.

Why are you trying to buy a shovel as the blizzard bears down on you?

You didn’t have a shovel purchased months or years ago?

I’ve also heard that several people have called online dealers trying to buy those online guns the Democrats keep telling them about, only to find that they have to still get them sent to a dealer, can only buy guns approved in their commie states, still have to fill out paperwork and still have to wait if their state has a waiting period.

I’m sure that more than one has been disappointed about the “gun show loophole” they’ve been told about all these years too Big Grin

My buddy who lives in Jersey was picking up a lower this week and while he was there, he Watched them answer several calls from people wanting to buy guns immediately with no clue about needing a FOID and pistol permit.

Hopefully this is a crash course for a lot of people in with their rights are important.

Quality 9mm defense ammo. For me that would be Winchester White Box 115 grain FMJ. Every round of ammo in every box on the shelf is self defense ammo if it is all i have when I need it . 22 Hornet , 16 gauge, 43 Spanish, 6.5 Greek ,38 Long Colt. Probably not my first choice but all are fine. 38-40 , 32 Winchester ? Why not. 22 birdshot, Speer 38 cal plastic bullets , 6.5 Swede wood bullets, If it is all i have and i need something i would have to try.

Just two months ago we had a glut, $7.99 for 50 often.

I like the idea of dusting off that 357, 38 or even the 9mm Makarov.

Just for drill I looked at Midway & SGammo for availability, SOLD OUT of 9mm ammo. They do have many others available, mostly lessor knowns.

For quite some time Target Sports USA was having a 50% off for boxes of 50 on HST and Gold Dots once a month.
I have the prime membership and took advantage of that as all shipping is free.
Ammo started looking scarce early last week and I picked up a case of the new Winchester M1152, a case of PPU 5.56 as all of the federal was gone and a case of the Federal MK318 that will be here Tuesday.
