With a wack like that to the head, be wary of a concussion.
It doesn't take much. Just a hit in the right(wrong) way.

Cuts heal fast, brain injuries not so much.

Along with every one else, I am glad she didn't get worse injuries.

I am also a wood turner, and learned early on that turning punky wood is very tricky, and also learned early on not to stand in the flight path of chunks should they fly off. In my case, the chunk that flew off punched a nice hole in the dry wall.

Again, glad she is OK.
