fpuhanMy employer's SUPPORT email received one! No one sits in front of the support email. It's called "sextortion," the threat of revealing some explicit photos of you if you don't pay.

shovelheadYes, starting in November. I was concerned as my notice contained a misspelled password though. As this was early on in the life of this email I filed a police report. My computer guru was contacted and he said that this scam had just started a few months previous and was possibly linked to one of the large database hackings of a year or two before.
A couple of years ago I signed up for informational emails from the Attorney General and they sent out a email detailing this exact scam. At one point I was getting five or six a week.
I have to say that they are using better English in the latest emails.
Just delete and move on.
BTW, the purported videos, my camera has been physically disabled since I got this laptop in '13
