Hi!

I know that: XXXXX - is your password!

I infected your computer with my private malware, RAT, (Remote Administration Tool).

The malware gave me full access and control over your computer, I got access to all your accounts (see password above) and it was even possible for me to turn your webcam and microphone on and you didn't even notice about it.

For a long time I was spying on you through your webcam and recorded MANY EMBARASSING VIDEOS OF YOU!!! Hahaha... you know what I mean!

I collected all your private data, pictures, documents, videos, absolutly everything and I know about your family!

After that I removed my malware, to not leave any traces.

I can send the videos to all your contacts (email, social network) and publish all your private data everywhere!!!

Only you can prevent me from doing this!

To stop me, pay 1800$ in bitcoin (BTC).
If you don't know how to get bitcoin, Google - "How to buy Bitcoin", it's very simple for example with credit card.
The wallet to receive and send bitcoin with the current rate you can here: www.login.blockchain.com/en/#/signup/

My bitcoin wallet is: 12ZyXPMJBAFCfpyYTYo8V6QcG653Lcs9oj

Copy and paste my wallet, it's (cAsE-sensetive)

After receiving the payment, I will delete the video and everything else and we will forget everything, you will never hear from me again...BUT if you don't pay and simply ignore this email, I promise, I will turn your life and the life of your family into HELL and you will remember me for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

I give you 2 days to get the bitcoins and pay.

Since I already have access to your account, I will know if this email has been already read.
To make sure you don't miss this email, I sent it multiple times.
Don't share this email with anyone, it just will make everything worse, only I can help you out in this situation and this should stay our little secret!

Shit happens, next time update your browser, you got infected over my exploitpack where the iframe was placed on the website your browsed, take it as a lesson, simply pay and life your live in peace like before.

Yes.
Twice in the last few months. The email text was a .jpg.
I deleted it and ignored it.
Standard phishing attempt, apparently, as I, nor my family, has experienced any uptick in the amount of HELL in our lives.

I think I did change my email password, just in case.

Delete AND scan your computer with something like Avast. Phishing attempts sometimes leave surprises behind.

Yeah, I got one of those to an email account that I only use for a spam trap. Exact wording and all except for there was no password because the email I use doesn't have an outgoing setting. Did it have your actual password?

I got it too. Just deleted it. It's a scam. As a precaution, I did change my password and ran a scan for viruses.

No, but I would not be surprised if it is far easier to swipe someone's password from hacking a vendor than it is to infect your computer.

Yep, it had a correct username and password for an online forum (I have no idea which one). I deleted it and the other few I received. I think that blanket format will work for most people, it gets them worried that someone has some embarrassing stuff on them so they pay. I don’t have any embarrassing browsing history so I know it’s a scam.

On my work e-mail account. I knew it was BS because I never use my work computer for my midgets-wearing-leather porn-watching marathons.

No, but once I got one saying they had caught me on porn sites. (I only went for the articles and didn't inhale). They would tell all my friends unless I sent them $1,200 in bitcoin. I deleted the message. My friends were never notified. Big Grin

I did! And they even had a lot of detail of what they claim to have seen...but then I figured they were lying because XXXXX is not my password!

Did anyone else see a thread from Para like this: From this point, any click-bait, vague thread titles gets your thread locked?

I changed this thread's title to placate the sensitive and caring.
