Just for grins and giggles I did a quick google search of the guy running the website the OP posted. "In 2009, Peter Hendrickson was convicted of filing multiple false income tax returns, including the 2002 and 2003 returns that he filed jointly with his wife. The tax returns at issue were based on the false and frivolous tax theories that Peter Hendrickson promoted in his book, “Cracking the Code,” and on his website, Lost Horizons. Back in the 1970s I worked at a software development company. One of my co-workers, a very sharp software engineer, was an older gentleman. He dressed, spoke, and acted like a true gentleman. He was a widower, his children were grown and on their own, and he had no personal responsibilities to anyone other than himself, so he decided that he could act on his beliefs and take whatever fallout came his way. He wrote a well-composed letter to the editor of the main newspaper in the large city where we were located, presenting his arguments about the illegality of income tax. The letter caught the eyes of the officials and after due process, he was sent to Federal prison. They did not come for him with a warrant, he was told to surrender on a specified date, which he did. The shadow government was just so perturbed that this guy and his wife had managed to crack their secret code that they had them falsely imprisoned in order to bully them into not sharing their forbidden knowledge. Sorry for the delayed response. Busy times. I fully understand the skepticism. Adults are capable of reading the actual law and determining the facts as they apply to them. If you have been paying attention the last three years it should be clear that there is a two-tiered justice system in this country. Yes, Pete Hendrickson and his wife were "convicted" of "crimes" but a careful adult will read the case filings to see what actually happened. You can start at this link: Hendrickson Crimes There is substantial evidence on the website, including copies of filings, refund checks and correspondence from various states and the IRS to guide your study if you are up to the task. Obviously, this is serious, adult level work, and no one should taking any advice from anyone on the internet about anything without thorough due diligence. One thing to keep in mind. When you fill in your 1040 and sign it under penalty of perjury, do you know what you are attesting to? Do you know the rules of statutory construction? Have you read the law and the definitions of the various legal terms being used? I thought I did. Now I know for a fact that I did not until I read Pete Hendrickson's book and the law - multiple times. Finally, the issue of "sovereignty". I am a Virginian. This is what our Constitution states at the very beginning: "ARTICLE I Bill of Rights A DECLARATION OF RIGHTS made by the good people of Virginia in the exercise of their sovereign powers, which rights do pertain to them and their posterity, as the basis and foundation of government. Section 1. Equality and rights of men. That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety." That concept in fact is the very basis of government in America. Nah, it'll go down with a whimper, not a bang. No dramatic traffic stop. No Taser. Just years spent paying back taxes (with interest and penalties) out of his garnished paycheck and foreclosed property. Plus maybe a couple years in federal minimum security prison if it's especially egregious, or he's especially non-cooperative. Oh, and when you see the federal judge on your court date, be sure to point out that the fringe on his flag renders the court illegitimate. Trust me, they love that. (And I'm posting this advice on the internet, so clearly you can trust me... Plus I haven't even been to prison for it, so I've already got way more credibility than Mr. Hendrickson.) | |||

I have been doing tax work since the late 70s. A few years ago (in my 50s) I got a masters of tax from one of the highest ranked programs in the nation. (Classes were challenging even with all my years of experience. Program takes at least 3 years to complete.) I've had multiple articles published by leading tax publications. A clerk from the Tax Court called as a follow-up to one of the articles. I know this stuff.... If there was a way around taxes I'd have found it. I've tracked many similar theories over the years. They are all based on misreading or incomplete reading of the laws and case laws. I scanned the website - nothing new. If you look good in stripes, buy the book and follow the guys advice.
