I'm surprised that no one has yet mentioned that the inhalation agent mentioned (desflurane) is the most expensive. So, the one who is happiest with this "study" are the administrators.....because using less desflurane means more profit. This is more about profit, than climate change !!!! I actually had my administrator tell me that I wouldn't be allowed to use this drug anymore. (I then resigned/retired.) The day that I let an administrator dictate how I should treat my patients is the day that I should quit, and I did. We have non-medical people making medical decisions .... (BTW: That was 3 years ago....)

Surely, the Medicaid and Medicare administrators will see the wisdom of this and make sure that all government subsidized health-care is regulated by climate change. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

I actually do a fair amount of TIVAs. I find that wake-ups tend to be a lot smoother. But, as alreadydead mentioned, the decision to do TIVA or gas has zero to do with climate change.
I had an administrator install gas measuring on our machines. He called me in one afternoon and showed me a histogram that he had created which showed my gas use vs. that of my partners, and told me that I'd need to "look at that". I gave him my two week notice on the spot. It was a shitty place to work anyway. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

I use both inhalational agents and IV anesthetics with my patients. Climate change has never factored in to my clinical decision making for a given patient. I prefer a multimodal approach.

I would support this for when they operate on Gore and other climate change prophets. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Just like “climate change” frauds flying about the globe in low capacity jets to spread their message, this will be another elitist “do as we say, not as we do” initiative. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

I partially woke up during an endo scope. I distinctly recall the thrusting at my butt, and jumbled words of people. I hope they were saying 'give him more'. And I hope that meant anesthesia. Afterwords I asked 'How far in do you guys go?" Four feet I was told. SIGnature NRA Benefactor CMP Pistol Distinguished

I'm going to have a Prostrate biopsy on Monday. Wish I could be knocked out with a big climate change dose of general anesthetic but going to make do with a needle of Lidocaine while pretending this only going to sting for a moment..

It’s getting easier to spot the flaky doctors now. Avoid climate cultists, anyone with pronouns on their door or in their bio, and anyone virtue signalling with a BLM or pride flag or Ukrainian flag for that matter. They seem to be unserious at best and easily manipulated. Calgary Shooting Centre

It's not terrible. I've had it done twice. Sort of like a series of moderate, not real bad, bee stings. Couple minutes and it's over and done. Not as bad as some of the dental work I've had. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I'm going to ask my boss' daughter if she's had to deal with this crap since she's an anesthesiologist. On another note, I had a vitrectomy a couple of weeks ago. Several days later I started getting surveys from the providers. I did the anesthesia survey first and rated everything great and added comments where provided. Then came the last question; "Would you be willing to answer questions about DEI, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion?" It was a yes or no question. They didn't have a FUCK NO answer so I just answered no. Later that evening I thought I should have answered their questions in the hopes that there would be a comment box where I could express my thoughts on "DEI'. I tried to revisit the survey but couldn't get access.
