The wife and I get this from the dentist. She is has RA and is immuno suppressed due to RA meds. She uses it twice a day and hardly ever gets a sore in her mouth now. I find my check ups and cleanings are better now.

I take anything any medical professional says with a grain of salt. Also, everything is different for every person.

I stopped using alcohol based mouthwash a good while back as I just didn’t like the burn. I switched to Crest ProCrest.

On my last dental visit, my dentist recommended Closys toothpaste and mouthwash. I have been using with no issues. I bought it for my wife as well and despite supposedly being very gentle it caused issues in her mouth. So I really think everything is very dependent on the individual.
