These are always well-received, and dead easy to make:

Bacon-wrapped water chestnuts

Ingredients:

2 lb. bacon (3 lb. if using thick-sliced)
16 oz. whole water chestnuts, these usually come in 8 oz. cans
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard (e.g Coleman)
2 tsps. Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 box round wooden bar toothpicks

Procedure:

Cut water chestnuts in half
Cut bacon strips in thirds
Wrap each chestnut half in a bacon third, secure with wooden toothpick, place on cookie sheet(s) in single layer
Bake at 375℉ for 40 minutes or until bacon is done to your taste

Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan over low heat.

Brush cooked chestnut/bacon with mixture immediately before serving.

Notes:

First three steps can be done in advance and refrigerated until snacking time.

Makes about 5 dozen on two cookie sheets, there will be no leftovers.

I frequently take an appetizer, Mushrooms stuffed with hot breakfast sausage, onion, garlic, cream cheese and topped with a lil "stinky" cheese. Baked at 350° for 25 minutes. Easy to make and there are never any leftovers. Don't tell they guys I got the recipe from Pioneer Woman....

Crock pot chili.
But you'll also have to bring paper bowls and plastic-ware.
Extra points if you bring shredded cheese, diced jalapenos or sour cream to plop on top.

The wife makes something similar she calls Rumaki

They are fantastic

Easy ones are cocktail sausage and bbq sauce in a small crockpot. Meatballs and bbq sauce or teriyaki in a crock pot

Alton Brown has a several recipes for wings for a large group. I can vouch for the first one, Buffalo. The steaming and then oven roasting turns out very good.

A can of Cheez Whiz and a box of crackers.

Unfortunately, the only box it may check-off is "easy to prepare", but some people will like it.

If you want to dress it up, spread a bunch of the crackers out on a platter and squirt a little Cheez Whiz on each one. Extra points if you can make a design with the CW.

(Yes, this was tongue-in-cheek.)
