As I sit here and have my morning coffee before heading out for "old fashioned straight runways" I chuckle. This is the most ridiculous, devoid of aeronautical knowledge, and functionally stupid thing I have seen in quite a while. It ranks right up there with having passengers flap their arms to help take off. So I guess now that when you label something as "green" and "eco-friendly" the rules of physics no longer apply because you "mean well". A person I know landed on I-4 near Orlando about 20 years ago. Can't be more complicated than that. Don't know, though, if FHP gave him a ticket for excessive speed. I can imagine the tower chatter: Delta 234 is on the outside with United 567 drafting and looking for some help from Southwest 854 to help push him down on the inside line as they race for the taxiway! Hahahaha! There is so much that is wrong with this. No connection to the real world. Now our Will the green/yellow/red light poles around the Getting caught up in the marbles at the top of the pavement could get dicey. Can I do a donut in front of the terminal if I'm in the lead? The cool thing about the guy's idea is the noise can be spread out so that all the neighboring houses will experience equal levels of noise.
