I am self employed, have lots of freedom, and I like it. But I also had a fair amount of freedom when I was an employee. Always a mechanic/electrician/machinist. As long as I did a good job, supervisors were happy. Rarely was micromanaged. I attribute this to working in a highly skilled environment, and supervisors knew to lay off the workers as good help is hard to find. When I had employees, I gave as much responsibility to them as possible. Made my life easier, and they presumably felt better as well. As to being being in Cali/behind the enemy lines, there are other ways to look at it. For outdoor opportunities and great weather, it is one of the best places in the USA. Weather wise it is near ideal. However each and every day I hate the Democrats more. I hope to combat some of their controlling evilness, and essentially stick it to them. A friend and I have been discussing starting a new ammo company, with low prices so we can flood the market with ammunition that patriots need and deserve. Will start out making pistol ammo and .223. As Cali has made it very difficult to ship ammo into, my plan is to be dealer direct in that state with fixed retail pricing. I am not in charge of the financial portion of this venture, but we will be starting with almost unlimited funds, and have zero for financing. This message has been edited. My low coffee light must be on because I’m not sure I understand the above. I’d probably agree with it if I understood it, but….
Really happy at work. Occasionally get frustrated with regulatory BS, but generally find that if I just work through it without the attitude it is a lot easier and soon behind me. Sucks not to be able get NFA items here in Kommiefornia, but realistically, that is probably just saving me money. Sucks that while I can legally carry my P228 with MecGar 15 round flush fit (freedom week) magazines within the state, if I slip up and take them out of state I can’t legally bring them back in. All that said, the weather is pretty nice, the views are amazing, I’ve pushed the little rifle range on the ranch out to a little more than 200 yards, the pistol range is only thirty five yards, but plenty of steel targets, no nearby neighbors to gripe, and it’s only five minutes from the house. I just need to make more time for shooting, but that’s on me. | |||
