C.C. Filson is an American privately owned outfitter and manufacturer of goods for outdoor enthusiasts. The company, based in Seattle, Washington, designs, manufactures, distributes and sells men's and women's outdoor clothing, accessories and luggage.

An old American company that sells really high end outdoor gear. Lots of wool and tin cloth. Spendy but really good quality. Some of it is now made off shore but the wool coats are great. I know guys that have had wool mackinaw cruisers for 20-30 years.

It’s not even close what it used to be. I’m wearing a Filson jacket right now… Cheap Chinese crap with all the seam threads falling out. Brand new as of Christmas. They were gifts. ^^^Yeah, I used to buy all kinds of stuff from Filson, but that was up to about 20 years ago. I even have a pair of USA made Uplander hunting boots I wear regularly that I purchased in 1998. But since they started importing from the third world, particularly from the ChiComs, and still charging very high prices, my purchases have been few and far between.
