A local radio station just interviewed this idiot. Even though he said he want's UN troops in Chicago, he now denies saying it. In addition he blames everyone except those that are committing crime for the crime. He spouts the usual Democratic Party line about how it's not the black man bringing guns into Chicago, it's not the black man bringing dope in Chicago all of which is code for the problems in the black community are the fault of the white man. Not one mention of the failure of the so called "criminal justice system" to put anyone in jail no matter how heinous their crime,no mention of the Sheriff in Cook County releasing as many prisoners on Electronic Home Monitoring even though they don't qualify for the program, no mention of no one looking for them when they cut their bracelet off and disappear. Just the usual Democratic Party politician of blame the white man and the Police. With politicians in Chicago of this caliber we are truly fucked.

McCarthy, the guy as assist Commish of the NYPD seen shooting out streetlights with his drunken buds? Or the guy threatening an NJ Trooper over the stopping of his daughter. McCarthy shows up drunk, in his NYPD car, in NJ. The Troopers took his pistol and secured his wife in the back of a car because she kept trying to get his weapon back out of the NJ squad car.

Why was he disgraced? Because Rahm fired him? I'd wear that as a badge of honor. I'd also take him over any Superintendent that served since Phil Cline.

Garry always thought he was the smartest and toughest guy in the room. He got called out on it at a Christmas party a few years back, and I'll actually give him the credit he's due; he told the other bosses NOT TO fuck with the cop that called him out on his bullshit. (It was an argument over Rugby Vs Football)

There's a few other reasons for my disapproval of McCarthy too.

That's not to say he was a total asshole. And he was WAY, WAY better than the coward Judy Weis, the Supt before him. I know Garry got the job because of his ties to Bill Clinton.

Yes, he got the political axe from Rahm over the McDonald shooting. ***Allegedly*** it was for talking out of turn to the media. That was the reason given. If it was the real reason, I don't know.
Remember this: Rahm ain't stupid.
But Gary is still around. I don't know the reason, but I'm betting that it's not to further his political career. I can't figure out the angle just yet, but there is an angle. Split the vote? Scapegoat again? I don't know.

I teach firearms classes in Chicago and Milwaukee. Lately in open discussions with students from both city's I have been told, with a straight face,that the "GOVERNMENT" (federal because they can blame Trump)is placing the guns in alleys,in buckets, so the blacks can find them and use them to kill each other.Its whitey forcing the blacks to do this.

Yup and your right, they actually do believe this shit. Remember the female black Cook County Commisioner who stated a few years ago that it was actually the CPD that was doing all the shooting and committing all the murders in Chicago, not the residents. Bobbie Steele IIRC.
