Since losing my pup a while back the house just seemed to quite. I decided I was ready and opened my house and heart up once again to a furry friend who needed a home as bad as I needed a companion. The local rescues have no shortage of little souls.
Meet Jax. He's a 6 month old Belgian Malinois.

Already making himself at home.

You found a Malinois pup at a rescue? Was it specifically a Malinois rescue?

Congrats on your new family member and thanks for not making us have to demand pictures Big Grin

Thanks guys!
I found him at Mile High Canine Rescue. His sister is still available.
He's gonna be a big boy for sure. He's got to grow into his paws and that nose.

Cute pup.

If you go get his sis, they'll wear each other out.

Works with beagles too. Big Grin

I really thought about it but I can't handle two dogs as well as I could the one. I'd be afraid that instead of 70# of energy I'd just end up with 140# of energy. haha

What a handsome boy!
Belgian Malinois are a favorite of mine. I have never had one, as my absolute favorite is Australia Shepherd. A neighbor had one, and she was great. Loved her like she myown.

Enjoy many happy years together!

I hope you can socialize him. One of the wildest dogs I have been around was one of those. Went to an obedience class for new dog owners. A woman had one and that dog was out of control. The woman could not control it at all. Scary mean. Not sure what happened with it. Hopefully she was able to get a handle on it.

Yours sure is cute Cool
Is your a purebreed. He looks like him might have a little something else in him. If so that might be a plus.

Very smart dogs. Enjoy the challenge. And I mean that in the best possible way.

Back in MD, where my wife was working as a police K-9 officer, the various departments called them malinoids. And good on you for the rescue.

Double the number of dogs in the house, and you triple your work load (we currently have 3).

Beautiful pup.
