You should get two of those TVs and use them as dual monitors on your computer.

95flhrI'm convinced the minimum price for admission to Costco is $150.

Jamess1Last Wednesday was warm enough to finally take the Porsche 911 out for its first ride of 2019. I was driving around and remember as passing a Costco that is was my friends 50th birthday this past Saturday. I wanted to get him the big bottle of Jack. Of course ended up with a bunch of other stuff, but each item that went into the cart was a thought of where is this going to go in the car. The frunk was packed and ended up with a the big pack of toilet paper in the "back seat". So just bring transportation that limits the size and amounts to be purchased.
I do employ the no cart policy at Aldi's. Only what I can grab and carry.

ensigmaticAfter walking out of Costco with $250 worth of stuff for about the third time in a row, 2-3 years ago, my wife and I pledged to Stop Doing That. We've been pretty good at it, too.
Had these TVs not had the "*" on their shelf tag, meaning Costco was going to stop carrying them, we would've walked out with no more than two quarts of soup and a bag of Cheetos.
It's a nice TV

reflex/deflex 64Went in for a bale of diapers Saturday. $180 later I left. Did you know they carry Bulleit in the blizzard size bottle?

lbsidBopped in the other day intending to pick up a roasted chicken and some TP. The Traeger people were there but I blew by them. Swung back to suggest that I would never consider a purchase until they fired one up and actually cooked some food and sampled. The Traeger guy ignored my comment and said that Costco would never let
them do demo's. Imagine that, Costco not doing food samples. So the guy quickly identifies me as a candidate for their top line unit ($1,000.) and to sweeten the deal, he'll throw in the $35.00 cover-for free! Someday soon I will probably own a Traeger but not that day.

bendableeastern Iowa costco shoppers are on the weird side.
I waited out in the car for 45 minutes , yesterday .
I counted 12 groups of people walking out , with out a damn thing in their hands !

one person or three, I could understand , but NOT 30 people in 45 minutes

I asked the lady I was waiting for how it could happen.
she said that they went in for lunch , not shopping.
I asked her "who the hell , takes family and friends to Costco for lunch ?"
she came back with
They don't take'em in there for the very berry ice creme or the hot dogs, they go in to swarm the free hand out samples !

she said that she noticed it while trying to navigate through the morass , none of them had carts.

Don't have enough room on the desk

Funny thing about that TV, though: It's a 43" diagonal and the main TV in the family room is a 46" diagonal, yet the display on the newer TV
looks bigger than the bigger display.
I think it's because the 43" TV is in a smaller room and it has a much thinner bezel.
Then that thinner bezel got me to thinking and measuring...
SWMBO is opposed to any larger a TV than what's currently in the family room, but I believe I can bump it to a 50" TV in the same space as the current 46" TV. Not a lot of gain, but every inch counts

FN in MTMy best ever Costco purchase was a circa 1975 K-22 S&W revolver.
Standing in the checkout and the Lady in front of me says... "Aren't You a Highway Patrolman"? I stated "Yes".
"You helped me when I hit a deer...whenever".
Then she mentions her husband died, she's moving and WHERE to sell this DANGEROUS pistol he had, before she moves back to Cali.
Snagged a very nice K-22 out of her car, in the Costco lot, for $400. I was MORE than fair. Local gun shops had all offered $300ish.

Some trips to Costco I am hungry and little short of money. I'll chat up the samples server while getting a few and put some of the sampled product in my basket. Sometimes I'll put several packages in my basket in between samples. After eating for an hour my basket is quite full of the products I've sampled. I push my cart back by the dog food and bottled water, park it and leave. I'm always amused when I walk by the food court stuffed to the gills.
I think I had a gout flareup when they were serving shrimp.
