Sounds like somebody was intentionally trying to twist the news to fit their agenda and that plan was interrupted when a guest was allowed to speak the truth.

He's what I describe as a tyrant in a teapot. He apologizes by indicating he has a flaw. I think his greater flaw is that he is a Socialist. That is the flaw we can't escape were he to have his way...

Anybody that has to threaten to "call the boss" shows how impotent they truly are. It also shows how little regard his staff has for him.
