I fully believe there’s a virus in the air inside the Congress building that infects even the best intentioned and pure new Congress people and they turn into what they once railed against. That and being in Congress is like living under a dome like a science fiction movie where you lose touch with the outside world and turn inwards.

It seems to happen to all of them Frown

Marjorie Taylor Greene mentions this when she was on Tim Pool's podcast.

If I recall correctly, she said something to the effect of when you get into Congress you are basically told either fall in line or be ostracized. Which is exactly what happened to her, I believe she was kicked off all of her committee assignments and then they tried to disqualify her from running again.

And it wasn't just the Democrats going after her, it was the Repubs too.

While every organization has its norms and courtesies, Congress appears to be a world unto itself, where there's a handful of bullies who set the tone and run the show. Senior members, throw their weight around and demand genuflection from junior members. Those who are well-connected, with extensive networks throughout the Beltway, in academia and relationships with the media can intimidate and make life miserable for someone who doesn't 'fall in-line'. Sounds like a Country Club, you may be a member but, you're not 'one of us'

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are all NATO countries. I do think that if the Russians were successful in Ukraine, these countries would be next. Since they are in NATO, that would mean war. The Russians would use the "little green men" strategy. All three countries have small numbers of ethnic Russians. There are always a few ethnic Russians they could count on in a manufactured conflict.

Some of you may recall that the US and Russia have already been in direct combat, fairly recently. In Syria the US Military annihilated over 300 Russian "contractors." Someone I know who was in the Army in Syria at the time says they were not in Russian uniforms, but in fact they were regular Russian military. Here is one account of what happened:

What's my point. Well, I do believe that if we don't stop them in Ukraine, sooner or later Russia will decide to take on a NATO country. Then all bets are off. I say stop them now.

And I'd say that's simply fear mongering. Putin's efforts in Ukraine have been incredibly expensive to Russia in terms of lost personnel and equipment. And they'll likely lose more before this is over. Those loses likely preclude Putin going any further than Ukraine 'for now'. Of course if our retarded president and his moronic administration keep driving up petro prices through asinine energy policies, they'll help Putin and Russia rebuild what they've lost far more quickly, and we'll likely be dealing with them again sooner rather than later. Attacking a NATO country is a whole other thing than attacking Ukraine, and Putin knows it.

Something has happened to him, or he fed people what they wanted to hear based on his past; and once he achieved his goal of office let his true intentions become apparent, or he’s been influenced by those around him, I thought his resolve may have been stronger to resist influence. Whatever the case, it’s a disappointment and places him in a different light than before. Respect his past actions, can’t begin to understand his present actions, and dreadfully afraid of what his future actions will be.
