So I have always said Olight makes a fine basic/household flashlight, I do get tired of all the shills constantly hawking them online. All that said I recently had two of the newer I3T 2 lights develop sluggish tail caps. Very strange. It’s nothing I’ve ever seen in any light nor any of my earlier Gen I3T’s (I have a few stashed around). So I figured what the hell, and emailed Olight. I never expected an answer and they are pretty cheap lights so I wasn’t too stressed about it. I had a reply to my email within 45 minutes expressing concern and asking me the color of the lights. I had shipping notice for two new tail caps about a half hour after my reply. Look I will never claim Olight makes a perfect product and I’d never suggest them for a critical need and I don’t love the proprietary batteries but God damn they gave me stellar service for some of their cheapest offerings and frankly that means something. They absolutely do make a decent product and hell if they don’t back it up with good customer service. Politics/China aside I am pretty satisfied. Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

They have great customer service. I bought two Olanterns a few months ago for camping and emergency use. I tested them frequently, topped them off with no problems. In March I discovered them both dead and they wouldn’t charge. I emailed Olight to see what it would cost to replace the batteries. They sent a label and asked that I return them. They ended up sending me two new lanterns. I’ve bought a dozen or so of their lights over the years and they have sent me so many small lights for free that I’ve kept a lot of family and friends out of the dark. We have a Vegas trip planned for early November, and one of the things I want to do is check out their new store they recently opened.

I also had great experience. I had a light that I thought had tail switch issues, which I soon figured out it wasn't simply tightened all the way. That light was actually recalled 2 years ago. They sent me an immediate upgrade.

Olight and Streamlight both have excellent customer service. No matter how old the light is, if something breaks, send it in and they send you a replacement if they can't fix it. Not minority enough!

I swore off olight since the recall. I had two of the flashlights in question plus a couple of others. I was glad for the recall to get my money back as the lights were too bulky to be EDC. I also didn't like the fan boy club and rah rah rah. It's a flashlight; it's not even an iphone. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I'm on my 2nd i5T EOS, after I lost my first when it fell out of my pocket on a United flight. For a cheap EDC, it serves me well enough. The Enemy's gate is down.
