This is the model we are considering. How long does the carafe keep the coffee hot?

That is a good deal, only about $10 more than I paid for mine on Amazon back in July Wink

As for the grind, yes - store grind seems to be a little finer than mine prefers.

I just picked up one of theses Burr grinders off Amazon to replace my Oxo burr grinder

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NFRFNF5

So far I am quite happy with it - seems to make less of a mess than the Oxo which didn’t catch everything in the cup and had static cling issues.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I just ordered my second Moccamaster on the Amazon Cyber Monday deal. My first one has the glass carafe; I chose the stainless carafe this time so hopefully don’t need to reheat coffee in the microwave.

Baddog,

If you change the top/cover after brewing is done- (Carafe comes with both tops) coffee stays hot for several hours.
Very satisfied with it.

We bought ours about 4 months ago and would highly recommend it.

UPDATE: First cup through the Tv-M. I'm not lovin' it. But I am certain it will be great once I've dialed it in. Currently using the mount of coffee as instructed. 69g for 1.5l.

Coffee is medium roast Starbucks Breakfast Blend.

And don't get me wrong, I do not mind strong rich coffee. It's just not what we did on our old maker for a number of reasons. So, what's the secret formula my fellow Tv'ers use? What coffee, and what grind?

Thanks!

We use 8’oclock dark Italian expresso whole beans that we grind medium/coarse weighed out at 60 grams for our ten cup carafe on the Moccamaster Select. It’s a nice rich, not bitter flavored brew.

Things like this, I can't help thinking "If they can knock $100 off the price, just how bad ARE they fucking you normally?"

Yes, I know, you love it and don't care.

Pretty much this for anything on sale anytime.

We love this coffeemaker for many years now and bought a second one last year for the cabin.

My wife didn't complain when the second Moccamaster showed up from Amazon. It's become part of my life; so now that we're splitting our time between northern and Southern California to be closer to grandkids, she just figures I needed a coffee maker. Of course a $20 one from WalMart would have made coffee too. But I am really enjoying this one a lot. Even better with the insulated pitcher.

I have to admit that I'm not an aficionado. I can say whether or not I enjoy a particular cup of coffee but I lack the sophistication to appreciate nuances between appellations, blends, roastings, preparations, etc.

It took a few tries but having used the TV everyday for a few months now, I can say it generally does produce an enjoyable cup. But I honestly couldn't say if it's really better than any other drip maker.

That being said, I would buy another TV w/o regret. I appreciate the engineering and build quality. A company that stands behind their product. First world made; not made in chicom.

I tried to $20/10oz bag (on sale from $40/10oz) and it didn't do much for me. I'm still trying a variety of bags in the $12-14/10oz range. There are many that are in the $14-18/10oz range; they may or may not be better but it's not really a sustainable price range for me. And I've generally been okay with the lower price range offerings.

I like the regular coffees but do enjoy the flavored ones as well (I like the hazelnut infused ones). I grind using a medium to medium fine setting using the suggested bean/water ratio.
