The driver had a security clearance? I’m sure he did after all she’s been on the Senate Intelligence Committee for years. And I’m guessing [sarcasm]he was thoroughly vetted [/sarcasm] before receiving it.

Maybe this Chinese spy had a clearance, too.

N'est pas? Possibly. He most likely had one. I can't see how you could be a driver for a senior member of the senate intelligence committee and not have one. So yes, personal security screening only goes so far. The tangibles like a clean record, no debt, no obvious flags only mean so much. The intangibles go a lot deeper and are much harder to measure.

We both most likely have clean records (mine probably has a few more dents than yours lol). That stuff is easy to measure. But how seriously do we take our oaths? Much difficult to measure. That is an intangible. You and me? I'm pretty sure we both take them VERY seriously, especially when it comes to the security of our country.

So yea, "getting cleared" unfortunately isn't the same as "being cleared" if you know what I mean.

I think the DC swamp is more like a bottomless pit, and has been for decades.

I wonder how much Feinstein got paid for that? Smile

Should or shouldn’t, that’s nevertheless extremely common, so it does matter. What about the times a sensitive document gets left in the car? The history of espionage is full of examples of low-level employees gaining access to things they “shouldn’t.” Yes, Feinstein bears the ultimate blame for any lax security, but the spy and those who employed him bear the blame for any espionage.

I agree. My only point is Feinstein is an idiot and should be charged for any lapses in security in the car.

Even in the business world, we're careful (those of us who are disciplined and take info sec seriously) about what we say and how we handle information in public. It's a no-brainer for nat sec.

So incredibly stupid of her. For 20 years....

That being said, why would it matter if the driver was spy.

Clinton was having her housekeeper print off classified memos at her home.

Here's what I know. Feinstein's husband has had a lot of business dealings in/with China. I would not be surprised if the driver was referred to them by a connection. Hint, hint, wink, wink.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Probably released by her dem opponent for Senator this fall. The state Dem committee has endorsed him. It’s pretty sad situation when DiFi is the more rational candidate.

She's a notorious liar. Years ago she purchased two Model 36's at "The Traders" in San Leandro. A few years later she showed up at a gun turn in and, on camera, turned in one of the revolvers. The owner of The Traders, a rabble-rouser of long standing, loudly demanded to know where the other weapon was. Later we found out she was granted "gold badge" status and always traveled armed.

The FBI discovered the spy after reports of a government limousine consistently driving in the fast lane, 12 mph below the posted speed limit with turn signal on and ignoring your the honking and high beam flashing of other drivers. No. Rearry.
