New Maverick 2024 Lariat Awd gas is agreed upon. Dealer locating one now.
Funny the talk about the Escape and Maverick, since the Maverick is one of Fords top sellers, being constantly sold out especially the Hybrids. They'll have to order one to get one most likely.
Everyone I've talked to loves their Maverick,
Fords 2.0 eco for us has been flawless, in the 19 Lincoln MKC, it's got a ton of power, fast, economical, never been in the shop for any recall, mechanical issues, nothing. However for ingress/egress probably not as good as others mentioned.
IF they need something for that, one of the top selling vehicles for the 55+ group and those with challenges is the KIA Soul. Funny thing is KIA marketed it to be hip to younger buyers remember the hamsters bopping around to loud tunes, lighted interiors, then it ended up being snapped up by 60+ year old folks, not young buyers.
The doors open wide, low entry point, lots of room to get into the seats.
Or maybe a 73 Cutlass with the swivel seats for a bit of nostalgia..

Looks like it is going to be a Maverick awd gas lariat addition.
Since they had the F150 we went to the ford dealer so they could look over the Maverick and see how it fit them. It was a winner.
Since they are not in abundant supply here we talked with a couple dealers. One gave us a good trade in. They liked the leather seats and some other amenities with the Lariat package and with receiving more than expected on their trade they opted for that trim level.
Dealer is working to get the exact rig and color (terrain or Cactus grey) and will complete the deal by the end of the month. Salesman was great to deal with. And no they are not selling them here with great discounts off of msrp.
Having been researching them seems like a solid little rig.

Its a good looking vehicle, nice utility and plenty of amenities available, just not a lot of them on lots, for good reason.
Hope they enjoy the new vehicle, I still like the 73 Cutlass with swivel seats, why don't cars have them today....

I like the 40-45 mpg I get from my FWD hybrid depending on season though admit not doing much Interstate driving.
The dealership is sending a mobile software upgrade tech to my house to resolve the five open recalls.
