Anti-Police Violence in Paris: French article

I try to read world news, seems like in the US, French police are being targeted. And of course, the French have their leftist denouncers of the police actions and wanting to radically change police policies to appease the masses.

Just thought I would post this to show what law enforcement is facing these days.

France has experienced a handful of grisly terror attacks over the last two weeks, wackos with knives beheading people in schools and churches, yet, there's additional sickos who think attacking police and firefighters (who attacks a firefighter?) and tossing fireworks at them is some sort of grievance justification.

France has a different threat matrix and escalation of force policies for their LEOs, seemingly timid in the beginning of a confrontation, they'll unleash hell on assailants and everyone gets their licks-in once given the OK without any fear of civil-rights issues.

Yes, and although the cartoons are equal-opportunity offensive, can we imagine anything like that in this country? The next time someone trots out that old “surrender monkeys” canard, I suggest they think about what is still possible there versus what would be howled down here.

The French problem with angry Mohammedans dates to before the current wave of immigrants flooding Europe - back to the days when France had colonies in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, French Sudan (Mali), French Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger, etc., plus the mandates in Lebanon and Syria. During the wars of colonial liberation, a lot of folks beat feet to France. More recently, more angry people have showed up for the benefits. Almost 10% of the French population is Muslim. France has been changed forever, and violent scenes like we have seen recently are probably not going to stop.
