| The French problem with angry Mohammedans dates to before the current wave of immigrants flooding Europe - back to the days when France had colonies in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, French Sudan (Mali), French Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger, etc., plus the mandates in Lebanon and Syria. During the wars of colonial liberation, a lot of folks beat feet to France. More recently, more angry people have showed up for the benefits. Almost 10% of the French population is Muslim. France has been changed forever, and violent scenes like we have seen recently are probably not going to stop. |
