So I was stupid enough to spend $50k on a Corolla.... At least it's a fun one.

Oh my.

I’ve read they are crazy fun, even at Civic Si prices.

Have fun!

Circuit Edition! Cool If I was in the market, that is one I would get. Nice ride.

Did you have to get on a waiting list and wait...then wait some more?

Congrats. I've seen a few around here. Not the prettiest hot hatch, but they're supposed to be the 'IT' car when it comes to performance in a small package.

And only 3 cylinders!

Those are very cool cars, and the best part is that it's a Toyota.

This is the direction Subaru should have taken the WRX instead of trying to make everyone happy. Also it's more interesting than a Civic Type R or Golf R IMO.

Ooh, very nice, Jesse.
Please give us more detail once you’ve got some seat time. This car is on my short list.

Oh man! That’s a sweet little hot hatch! I remember my first time seeing one in the showroom at my local Toyota fun store. I was immediately smitten.

Enjoy! That is a VERY fun little car!!!!

Nice ride! I’ve got a ‘22 XSE hatch. It’s got 2/3 of the sexy factor and 1/2 the oomph of yours lol! But mine is also a 6-speed, so there’s that. Congrats, I bet you’re gonna love it!

Congrats, they do look like a fun HB.
Replaced the Fusion Sport?
Be curious to hear how the little 3cyl compares with the 2.7TTV6. Dramatically different cars for sure

Nice! I've toyed with the idea of trading my Corolla HB 6-speed on a GR but I've not had a chance to even look at one yet.

I drove all the way to Manassas and they wanted $5k over sticker. Left my number with sales guy and said if you ever want an easy sale call me and I'll buy for MSRP. I found this one in MD, it was list price plus some over priced lug nuts and all weather mats.

Half the cylinders, hopefully just as much fun. I probably should have asked more for the trade in, I know I could have gotten $21,500 private, but settled for $19,400 and no hassle.

It was dark and I haven't driven a stick in a decade so I took it easy on the way home.

2019, with every bell and whistle Ford offered and still had 2yr/68,000mi of extended warranty left on it. Stupid financial choice, but toys seldom are wise investments.

I will tell you this thing is primitive compared to a 5 year old Ford Big Grin but I like how primitive it is. There's not going to be gas powered rally inspired hot hatches in a few years. It's like driving my 1st gen CRX Si but with more horsepower, better brakes, and better handling.

On my Circuit, when doing the PPF, I had the Carbon Fiber roof PPF’d to protect it. Went with gloss over matte. The replacement cost would blow your hair back, it’s ridiculous. The Ice Cap paint is notoriously thin and for some reason it isn’t as durable as the other colors. This is from owners over the last 20 months. So I would definitely PPF the front end and roof. I did ceramic coating also. Congrats on getting one. I had a deposit in before the car even press released in the states, something like March of 2022 and took me until October of 2023 to get my Heavy Metal. Still wished it was the GR Yaris instead as that was what we originally were supposed to get but they quit selling the Yaris hatchback here so this is what we got instead.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone
