Sounds pretty normal to me. SIG556 Classic P220 Carry SAS Gen 2 SAO SP2022 9mm German Triple Serial P938 SAS P365 FDE Psalm 118:24 "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it"

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do. |
At 72 I was already thinking about selling of guns that I seldom/never shoot. I do have a few guns that I have never shot. My recent heart attack has really reinforced my desire to clean things up. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

To the OP, absolutely a lot of us are right there with you in the same boat. The days of acquiring more pieces are pretty much somewhere between zero and none, except what Para said about having a good rifle for SD and all that. And I'm thinking he is talking about a quality modern bolt gun or a more modern semi auto, AR, or a Mini, something along those lines. I could pull out my old 30-30 or my 375 Holland heavy, but those wouldn't really be the right gun for that use. Even if I never buy a glock, I should buy an AR or a Mini, or other modern semi-auto, low recoil small to med cartridge rifle for SD, zombies, shtf etc. When you need it you're gonna need it real bad, real quick, and real easy, and not all long guns meet that scenario. That's my take fwiw. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

Nothing wrong with you at all. As a matter of fact, I’m about to consolidate and just keep what I use. My kids are not into guns like me and the money will be better spent elsewhere. I could damn near pay off the new Bronco I recently purchased with the sale of my unused guns.

Exactly. We all end up there anyway, so no need to lose money by having our collections inherited by people who have no interest in them, nor the desire to figure it out enough to sell them. If I wasn't a gun person I would find it confusingly irritating as well. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster
