I make the same joke. The truth is, if you've been married as long as you or I have, there have been some hard times, maybe some terrible losses, and most all of us carry around a lot of pain. But if you've gone through that together with your spouse, it's like you're welded together after that. None of the usual stupid stuff that breaks up marriages comes close to what you've been through.

I'm guessing I'll be in the minority here, though only due to my Job circumstances/hours. I work all kinds of crazy shifts - days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays. The ER is a 24/7/365 business. So there will be times that I crawl into bed just before she gets up, and leave before she gets home. I have (rarely) gone an entire week without us being awake and in the house together. So there are times when my wife does not get a hug or kiss from me. But I love her dearly, and she understands. We miss each other when we cannot be around each other, but have muddled through this lifestyle for the past 16 years. Just like with holidays, we celebrate when we can be together. So when I am off, and we are together, hugs and kisses are frequent, in fact, my daughter sometimes gets jealous, though she is 5.

a lot. probably in the 10 to 20x a day range? more or less if I'm working or not that day, or how needy the kids are, what our plans are, etc.

At least a couple times a day when we are physically together (her work has her traveling a lot), once first thing in the morning, again at night before we go to bed, and whenever I can catch her, to echo another poster.

My wife is generally a touch-me-not kind of person, but I still grab her and hug her when I get home from work in the evenings. I pat her on the ass when she walks by every chance I get too.

Whenever leaving or returning home at the least. Probably 3-5 times a day.

I usually just grope her when we pass in the hallway, she returns the same.

Neither of us are serial huggers, but we get in one or two a day, but I do pat her on the butt a few more times as well. I'm kinky that way, at least that is what she says.

I hug my wife at least 2 times every day. Today, she will get more. Today is our 24th anniversary.

Minimum is kiss in the morning before we leave. Kiss when we get home and kiss before bed.

To be honest, I'm lucky if we hug once a week. Kissing? Been quite a while. Sex? Don't go there man.

Never counted. Hugs or kisses a couple times a day, I guess? More? Every night before going to sleep. Often in the morning when we wake up. Any time either of us is leaving the house, and again when they return. Sometimes just for the hell of it and I want to tell her I love her and she's best best damn wife in the whole wide world.

Mines a love sponge. She loves as much hugs, kisses, nuzzling, rubbing, stroking and massaging
as I can give. And I'm all in after 25 yrs for the beautiful long blonde hair and the incredibley toned, lean & athletic body that has barely changed. Blessed, truly I am.
