I agree a very fitting tribute to a great ball player, and man !
I remember watching that game as a 19 year old, and thinking Wow, I just saw history being made.

Al Downing was the pitcher if I recall correctly?

Very cool tribute.

My buddy has a great Hank Aaron story. My buddy is also in oil & gas and was working on Alaska's North Slope on a project. Space is at a premium since it's so remote and expensive so everybody shares an office.

My buddy answers the office phone one day, and it's somebody calling for his office mate. His office mate was out on the project job site so my buddy offers to take a message. The person on the phone said his name was Hank so my buddy asks for a last name. The last name was Aaron. My buddy's office mate was a former pitcher in MLB, and Hank Aaron was calling to find out if he was planning to play at the Old Timer's Game in Cooperstown that year.

My buddy ended up chatting with Hank Aaron on the phone for 15 minutes. It's one example of Hank living out his goal of being "a greater human being." He could've just left a message and got off the phone ASAP, but instead the Hall of Famer had a nice conversation with a stranger.

That was a very cool tribute.
Plus, I always enjoy hearing Vin Scully. I grew up in L.A. and have great memories of lying in bed listening to Vinny call the Dodger games!
