Wow! I had bellbottoms when I was a kid in the 70's. But I didn't wear white.

PANTONE color reference is what allow printer and graphic artists and other people that need to reproduce a color to be consistent.

If you walk into a paint store their colors are bases on a PANTONE system or one of its few competitors.

If you talk color to a profession and say you want PANTONE P 123-14C you should always get the same color blue.

This is how companies can keep the same colors across the organization.

All their print, web, and signage will have the same PANTONE numbers for colors.
