Pulling out from the NRA till Wayne is gone seems like a weakening of the NRA by not helping them financially and only helping the anti-gun nuts with their fight against the NRA which in turn comes back to bite you. I don’t like the way things are going with the NRA either, but I won’t pull my support completely from them.

I’m an NRA life member. Not renouncing due to their current issues but not sending $$

Here in California the Calguns Foundation which is doing amazing work fighting the assault weapons ban and the roster as well as other lawsuits. https://www.cagunrights.org/

Yes, CalGuns and FPC seem to share some of the same players and they both seem to do good work here in CA. Glad to hear FPC is doing good work nationally.

I’m reluctant to advise anyone on where to donate.

I think the NRA is the 800 pound gorilla and the legislators pay attention to what they have to say. I’m not happy with Wayne, they current board, or the current board structure (I’m sure that there are effective boards with more than fifteen members (eleven would be better in most cases, and nine better still), but I am not familiar with them. I don’t know how we fix the NRA, but I think there is some real value there if we can fix it. (Get rid of Wayne, reform the board, not sure what else is needed, but expect there is more.). It would be really nice if we could fix it so that we could feel good about donating there and asking others to do the same. I’m just not there right now...

All I ever did was visit the FPC site once and today I got spamed by them. Not a good start.

I wasn’t looking for advice as to which organization to donate to, but more as to what that money gets spent on. Currently I have no problem donating to the GOA. Sure doesn’t seem like a good time to be withdrawing support for the NRA, specially when the most aniti gun president and vice president we've ever had are about to be sworn in. Seems like those that are withdrawing their support for the NRA because of Wayne are part of the problem.
