nosticks, I'm sorry to hear of the diagnosis, but hopefully they caught it in time. They certainly got you on the surgical schedule quickly. They'll probably want you up & moving around the day of surgery or the next day. It's not like the old days. They want you at home recuperating & not laying around in the hospital.

SW_Sig, glad to hear they got it all. Did they say anything about chemo, or will that be discussed Thursday?

Those discussions will be Thursday.

No sticks, Ironbutt, and others here, thank you for opening up about what you have been and are going through.

I've had bladder cancer for 20 yrs, carcinoma in situ, non-invasive, but a comparatively aggressive version, came and went 3 times. Last time was 5 yrs ago, after serial check-ups, now it's back to annually. I credit the highly skilled surgeons who resected the lesions. (Same thing with oncologic plastic surgeons who saved me from melanoma back in the 90's.) Anyway few other complications I won't get into. Never had to get chemo.

My first urologist said, "You're going to hate me after this." That was because he used a non-flexible apparatus. Think about that for a second. He almost redeemed himself by sending me to a reknowned specialist...almost.

Caught mine early by total accident, another story. Regardless, still not out of the woods. Best wishes to anyone dealing with this. They have a lot of ways to put a stop to it.

I have one scheduled for 8/22. Things have changed since my last one I guess. The doctor wants me to do a week long prep and then also drink some the morning of the procedure.
