Netherlands to buy out and close 3,000 farms to meet climate goals

The Dutch government is planning to buy out and close as many as 3,000 farms in the country, exacerbating an already-bitter dispute with growers as leaders attempt to halve the country’s nitrogen emissions by 2030.

If farmers do not agree to the plan, the buyouts could become compulsory. “There is no better offer coming,” Dutch Nitrogen Minister Christianne van der Wal told members of parliament last week.

The issue isn't the issue.

This isn't about "nitrogen emissions". Just as the "global pandemic" response wasn't about a virus. They don't care about nitrogen emissions.

Think about it: It's about imposing control over the people. The WEF, which indirectly controls the leaders of most former "western democracies" wants to impose a one-world government along the lines of the Chinese model. Call it communism, or name it something else if you like, but it's tyranny and it's evil.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

You win the Internet for the day. ^^^

For gods sake, they wrote a book about their intentions; told you everything they’re doing. Klaus Schwab wants you to understand the plan. Because there’s nothing you can do about it in his perspective.

Destruction of the middle class.
Destruction of self-directed independence.
Reduce the population from 8 billion down to one billion.

When are you going to believe them?

Done right and gradually this would solve many of our problems.

You can't be serious.

It wouldn't solve a damn thing. And in fact as a species we would go backwards.

The earth is definitely more crowded than when I was a kid... but whose to say?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a natural drop off in population as there are fewer births than replacement in many parts of the world.
However, those who want a drastic reduction are evil.

This is the stupidest thing I've read yet about "global warming "
It is proven that farming reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The corn crop in the Midwest alone is one of the biggest cleaners of the air.

This is all about trying to better their ESG scores.

Basically the same thing happened in Sri Lanka. At least they have one of the highest ESG rankings in the world. Wink

https://fee.org/articles/sri-l...of-green-utopianism/

quote:
The fertilizer ban was, in fact, a major factor in the unrest. Agriculture is an essential economic sector in Sri Lanka. Around 10 percent of the population works on farms, and 70 percent of Sri Lankans are directly or indirectly dependent on agriculture. Tea production is especially important, consistently responsible for over ten percent of Sri Lanka’s export revenue. To support that vital industry, the country spent hundreds of millions of dollars a year importing synthetic fertilizers.

During his election campaign in 2019, Rajapaksa promised to wean the country off these fertilizers with a ten-year transition to organic farming. He expedited his plan in April 2021 with a sudden ban on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. He was so confident in his policies that he declared in a (since stealthily deleted and memory-holed) article for the World Economic Forum in 2018, “This is how I will make my country rich again by 2025.” As the ecomodernist author Michael Shellenberger writes, the results of the experiment with primitive agricultural techniques were “shocking:”

Has nothing to do about saving the earth or climate change…

It’s all about the new caste system/hierarchy where the elites are allowed to do whatever the fuck they want and you got a pay for it with your life. You aren’t elite.

Anyone who thinks we need more people in this country needs to drive up the east coast from top to bottom it's one big traffic jam, I suggest I-95. Or fly up from Miami to Pittsburgh, NY City, at night. Many areas in the West as well.
The oceans are slowly being depleted of fish, as is the top soil of minerals. Coal, oil, natural gas, rare earth elements, all are being consumed up. Aquifers are being reduced in some cases dramatically.
In 1950 there were 2.5 billion people on earth, now in just 70 years there are now 8 billion.
Population in more prosperous areas such as Europe, parts of Asia, North America (other than immigration) is starting to decline. Other areas such as the continent of Africa (more than half of global population growth between now and 2050 is expected to occur in Africa). Central and South America, parts of Asia, are the main growth.

Utilized, by which I mean educated and free, people are a resource.

Depleted soils come from bad farming - we have less acreage in production than we once did. Good farming improves soils.

My family raised cigar wrapper on the same farm, for over 200 years.

TMK, the new owners are also raising cigar wrapper on it.

Traffic comes from the Jones act, and some bad regulations on rail, causing too much truck freight - and Lots people to an extent, but give them decent schools, and they won’t have to commute as far.

People solve problems.

The highest and best use of most Communists may be as fertilizer, but even there, I have met one who was brilliant in chemistry.

Dutch dairy farms are a model of cleanliness and efficiency. They contribute less to emissions than the breath of liberal Marxist politicans.

The West is in a complete free fall on all fronts. I fear for my children.

First they close down BASF (fertilizer production) and then food producing farms. Call me a conspiracy theorist but yes, they are planning food shortages and starvation for Europe.

Then when dingbat Joe sends all our fertilizer to them we'll feel it, too.

The Black Cube is coming for you.
