Got a Bambu P1S w AMS today. Currently set up on the kitchen island [we'll see how long that lasts]. Printed the little boat from the on-board memory and a Karambit-ish box opener knife. Might do the discard chute that dumps on the side instead of out the back, and maybe the AMS hinges Any recommendations for 'must have' items? Currently just have the freebie 2 color filament & support filament. Just browsing the phone app & see a lot of neat things, brain is in 'print everything' mode, right now. Printables and Makerworld have tons of prints available as well. I've printed a lot of sewing items for my wife and workshop jigs and fixtures. Start learning Fusion 360 and the world is your oyster.

I ordered the same one a few days ago. Both my adult children have Bambu printers from bottom model to top model. Both kids have produced lots of cool things. My son is printing a pair of shoes today. I’m looking forward to playing. That last one sounds appealing. Currently printing some watch stands for the ones scattered across my dresser The Enemy's gate is down.

I printed a wall mounted mug holder. It holds a mug under my grease gun's wall mount to catch drips. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Dump chute is a good one. I'd say do kit cards for kid gifts, external spool feeder to route between that and the AMS for tricky stuff that wont feed. Gun stand is a good one for organization in the safe or do one of those edc trays. We'd need specific interests to know more. Maybe make something print in place to get the novelty of not having to peice something together. Honestly I'd consider moving it to a place like the garage or an out of the way corner. We can argue about PLA being ok but theres some very obviously toxic filaments depending on what you are using. Makerworld is a pretty great resource. Biggest rec is get some of those nitrile gloves for taking stuff of the print tray. i put a set on everytime if I cant just smack the print off with some other print. I never use glue sticks and pla just plain sticks without issues.

I've noticed some of the PLA prints are hard to dislodge when finished. Need to start reading/learning which filament to use for what, and build up a stock of options The Enemy's gate is down.

I did a silencer order for a guy yesterday who has printed a few silencers he Form 1'ed. If anyone has a Bump Fire Systems bump fire stock and is versed in 3D printing, I really need that piece that replaces the stock grip on an AR. I sent one to a buddy to copy, he sent me the one he made, it didn't quite fit, then my original he mailed got lost in the mail and never arrived. I cannot locate the contact info for Alex from Bump Fire Systems. Company is out of business and his emails bounce. Freewill Firearms 07 FFL, Class 2 SOT

A few things I’ve learned: For stubborn PLA prints, we usually take the whole plate off the bed, then flex the plate, kind of like peeling the back off a sticker. When printing ABS, use some glue stick on the plate, then (usually) it’s usually easier to remove the part from the plate when it has cooled. PLA doesn’t hold up well in in-car use — use ABS instead. (Voice of experience.) You can (mostly) seal the layers of an ABS print by brushing the print with acetone. Parts printed from ABS do actually let some water through, even when printed with 100% infill, and the acetone treatment forms a bit of a “skin” and helps prevent leaks. And when we print with TPU, we generally have to feed it from the external spool holder instead of the AMS. Thanks, so far woth the small trinkets I've been playing with, the PLA seems easier to remove from the bed of.it sots for a bit after it's done. Will have to get a few spools of PETG & ABS. Just scrolling through the Handy app, lots of neat stuff. Need to get on a computer & start playing The Enemy's gate is down.
