Good for Governor Abbott taking a stand. If you keep letting them get tiny victories it will eventually be over. Look how bad it's gotten in England. The pub was there for years before the invaders bought the building next door and turned it into a mosque. I miss tacfoley but am sort of glad he doesn't have to witness this.

Well, I grew up with a place called Country Hill Swim and Tennis Club. It wasn't ritzy. It was reasonable to belong for the summer. It was a neighborhood pool, with 5 tennis courts back when tennis was more popular. It was a fun place where I could ride my bike and hang out with my friends. I was on the swim team. When I turned 15 I got a summer job there.

The County built a "rec center" and the taxpayer funded pool put the private pool out of business.

Now, the County pool is shut down too... at least for this year.

Budget cuts will also impact the Parks and Recreation Department. This summer, the County will not open the pools at St. Vincent Community Center and Kennedy Recreation Complex. Both pools require major repairs and there is not enough money to cover those costs.

https://stlouiscountymo.gov/st...ouncils-budget-cuts/

Having experienced both, I can tell you it's a different atmosphere. The private pool was much more relaxed. They had a concession stand, but you could bring your own food/beverage. They organized events, like adult night, and lots of fun things.

It was very different from what most kids will experience today.

Yes both experiences were different, as a little kid we went to a public pool in Lexington KY, Southand Pool, it was basically an outdoor pool, I couldn't tell you what my mom paid to get in but it probably wasn't much since they couldn't afford much back then.

Later in life we became members of private golf clubs and had the priviledge of living that lifestyle, but, the pool was just a large pool. There wasn't a kiddy section or lazy river etc.

Now that public pool is a rival to Disneys Water Park and it's "Southland Aquatic Center"

https://www.visitlex.com/listi...aquatic-center/7344/

That's ok, kids have a place to go play, interact, they are not on a TV or game machine, and they are having fun.

Municipal swimming pools and other community assets exist around the Philly area - attended mostly by inner city residents...

TX is ground zero for H1B Visas. My local Costco, when I get groceries, it’s usually 80% or more Muslim/India. Frisco, TX, the locals already call it Little India.

The “Early Learing Center” was on the sign of the one in Minnesota, as I recall.

After being outed as a fraud they bussed in some kids, then the place was closed a couple of days later.

In the Minnesota Fraud thread:

ETA – It appears that that in Minnesota it was the “Quality Learing Center”.

It's a common mistake people with BAs, MAs, and Dr of Ed in education from NYU, USC, and Vanderbilt make.

The degree program she claims to have from Vanderbilt does exist. It's an online program that currently costs over $130,000 for 54 credits. If I were more curious, I'd be looking into the validity of her educational background, but I'm satisfied she's got a BS as an artist.

I just consider every noise that a Muslim makes when their lips are moving as a big fat fukkin' lie. I think history has proven this to be more often than not true.

Their 'religion' certainly preaches to do this when dealing with infidels.
