I thought this would be a fun thread. Toss up some of your everyday pet peeves. It doesnt have to be fashion faux pas....anything that bugs you feel free to throw it up.

shirts that are tucked in with no belt
ties that are too short / long
shirt sleeves while wearing a tie.
people that continue to obnoxiously suck through a straw when the drink is gone, making that slurping sound.

Furniture pushed up against the walls. I leave a gap, so nothing is actually touching the walls--however small the gap might be. Some people put all their furniture, right up against the wall. Lamp shades touching, couch rubbing paint off, chairs leaving a nice little trail along the wall. Drives me nuts.

Drawers/cabinets not fully shut.
See it more at work than home. Cabinets/drawers in the breakroom left 1/2" open.

Microwave left with seconds on the cycle.

Slamming doors: We have spring hinges on 2 doors in our house. Not just the kids, let them swing shut with full force.
On the garage door from our laundry room, the impact of the door shutting actually shifts things on the shelf in the garage to the point things (non-breakable luckily) have fallen off.

Sunday I took a trip with my wife about an hour and a half away. I usually just get in the fast lane and cruise. Not sure why this always happens but I counted 9 drivers who stayed in front of me with no one in front of them and as soon as I move over a lane to pass they jump in front of me. WTF?

I don't tailgate but they saw me coming for the last two miles or so knowing full well I'm going faster than they are. They definitely see me because they move immediately after I do so they are watching the rearview mirror.

My wife was even amazed. Towards the end I would make a slight move to the right and immediately moved back into the fast lane which was now wide open.

When I'm cruising in the fast lane I keep an eye on my rearview mirror and move over before the faster moving car is right behind me. Then I get in behind them and let them go on their merry way. I don't care if I'm driving 85mph. If someone wants to drive 95mph have at it. I'm out of their way before they have to even adjust their speed.

I wake up about an hour before my alarm goes off, then toss and turn right up until the minute before my alarm goes off. In that minute, my brain finally relents and begins to fall asleep. Every day. Then I look forward to that happening on my day off but it never happens.

Wife is the master of this. Usually more like 4-5 inches and the ones right at zipper height ifyaknowwhatImean...

Wife's sister does this. Stops every day after work to pick up her mail. Whole damn house vibrates when she slams the mudroom door.

Lazy assholes that leave shopping carts all over the parking lot. Usually three slots down from a cart corral.

Or one better, against the car corral, sometimes 4 feet from the 'entrance' Roll Eyes

I drive like that, too. I'm always aware of what is happening behind me and attempt to avoid being in someone's way.

Pisses me off that, no matter how clear or simple a thread title is, I don't get it.

I was about to post about cleaning litter pans.

WHY don't sockets have the size printed on them in four places so you could always see what size it is, no matter the orientation?

Maybe not a pet peeve in the strictest sense, but I'm not angry enough to start a whole thread in What's your deal?

Heading into the gas station, all pumps being used. Finally one opens up. Finish filling tank and as leaving, multiple pumps are open.

Timing is everything. Same thing at grocery stores. Seems that everyone heads for checkout counter at once. Must be some variation of group-think.

Idiots driving in the rain with no lights on. Idiots that do use lights in the rain only use the parking lights, trying to save electricity I guess.

People who empty the garbage can and don't put another bag in it...even though the new bags are laying in the bottom of the can.

Aggravates the living hell out of me. I suppose that I should consider it a small victory that the trash was emptied to begin with.
